MLG Wasteland

    Wasteland is a four-base map designed for MLG Team Slayer as well as MLG Capture the Flag. It's actually my first map, and lots of thanks to Sparta9407 for the wall and a lot of other parts. The map plays extremely well and has gone through extensive playtesting by my team, and I finally feel it's ready to be judged by the community.

    Weapons:

    -8 Battle Rifles
    -4 Carbine
    -1 Sniper Rifle
    -1 Mauler
    -4 Frag Grenade
    -4 Plasma Grenade

    "A" BR Corridor (under A Base)

    The map is somewhat based on Onslaught's bases, but I put them on the opposite sides of the map as opposed to where they normally are (on the walls), and in their place added two of my own bases. The map runs well with an Overshield and a Sniper Rifle due to the difficulty of obtaining/holding the weapons, and with the spawns the way they are the power weapons and powerups aren't too overpowering (although this is up to you guys to decide as well).

    It also plays well as an FFA/warmup map for teams, and my team uses it often for this purpose.

    This 2 base design has been way overused. Try thinking outside the box. As for the forging itself, there wasn't much interlocking where there should have been and there are a few things that really should have been geo'd like the walls on a slant at the "sniper base". Please take this as constructive criticism.

    pretty nice map, my only recommendation is that you don't give a snipe to one base and an overshield to the other. The overshield only protects one person, while the snipe can kill many people if handled by the right person.
    My total is 3/5. this is because of: -lack of geomerging -interlocking not straight -uneven weapons/equipment placement -NO DL LINK

    No, I didn't download it from somewhere, my friend and I made it. I'll go in and redo it and post another version :)

    Lol, this map is kinda sloppy. Also, why give one team a sniper and the other an overshield? Aren't MLG maps supposed to be symmetrical? The interlocking is crookid in some places and the lack of geomerging in places where it should've been doesn't please me either. Make a neater, more carefully made V2. Or not. It's up to you. Also, DeathStars is right about th two base thing. Still, if someone (maybe you) came up with a different way to keep to bases and still be symmetrical, then all the new MLG maps wouldn't be so boring. It's okay.
    Keep forging though.

    Other than what some of the other people, the thing that bothers me is in the 2nd and 5th pics, with the view of the middle structure, those two platforms at the bottom of the pic aren't centered with the middle structure. It would look a lot better if it was (unless I'm just being wierd).
