    Hello, first submission to Forgehub, I hope you like it. In case you were wondering, this map is 1.1 because I fixed some break-out points.

    Supported Gametypes:
    At the moment, Uplift only plays Slayer and Team slayer. Once I have some critique from decent forgers (since none of my XbL/real life mates know anything about Forge), I'll decide which gametypes fit.

    Map Description
    A while ago, I saw a remake of the Halo 2 map Acsension. It was ok, but I didn't really see the resemblance. It was all very blocky. So, I set out to try and make one. Of course, I failed. But once I made an accidental interlock using a corner wall, I realised what I was potentially making. And so Uplift was born. It takes some old points of Acsension, but it is a completly different map!

    Overview. Here you can see the dish, as well as the Snipe-side.

    Due to the rocky areas of the map, hiding behind cover is easy.

    However, due to the powerful turret on one side, Snipe side has much more cover. Here is most of it.

    The turret tower. A well placed Grenade can finish it off, but it is formidable non the less.

    Behind turret tower, there is a small passage with a Plasma Pistol.

    But Turret side isn't the only area with a large safe area. Snipe side has this Alcove, located left of the snipe ramp.

    Finally, we have the secret cave. Getting up there is risky, as it involves scaling the middle structure, but once there you have a perfect shot on the turret. Rockets also spawn under the structure on this side (Neutral)

    very nicely built, and i especially see the resemblence to acension, but of course you cant make the giant beams rotate =)
    or can you?

    andyhow ill download the map and let you know how it is after i finish in social slayer (ganna get lightswitch) =D

    EDIT: didnt know how many people to playy this game with, so i thought 4 would be solid, and in the first second i spawned and assinated a guy =(
    also the center of the map is where thereal time was spent, but you cant just ignore the wall that keeps players inside.
    which need to be seriously re-worked to look clean. using the extra dors and window panels to block the map off can be easily avoided by geomerging.
    speaking or geomerging, DONT AVOID IT alot of your boxes can be intorlocked to clean up the nade bounces.
    and the one thing that ruined you map was the weapon placement.
    i didnt forgethru but i think the rocket spawn was like 30 seconds, and the turret must have been instant... which destroys the game.
    you said to be brutal, and i gave you my thoughts.
    these can be easily fixed with a few tweaks. but the wall may take some time in V2
    also, i escaped the map, but that can be changed if you raise the door near the ledge!

    Hello. Great first post, something not many new forgehubians can do. Which I still haven't done myself, post a map. Anywho, this map looks pretty good. I like the whole stairway-to-stairway thing. A little bit of risk in that jump, but still easily done. I like all of the cover that I have seen in these photos. The only thing that I can see that I don't like in this map is the very small turrent tower. You said its a Team Slayer- or - Slayer game, but it has potential to be the arguably most favorite gametype of Halo 2. TOWER OF POWER! We all miss those days, wheither or not we want to admit that. HELP! Haha. Anyways, great map, it just has a few flaws with the Tower. Hope to see a Uplift 1.2 or maybe even Uplift 1.3. Or maybe Uplift 2. :D

    looks confusing at first... almost like an infection map where you make a nice clean map then you throw a bunch of garbage around. have you tried infection on it? that could be fun. anyway welcome to forgehub and happy first post!

    This map is very creative.I like how you used the falls for rocky areas.The gameplay seems very interesting so i think i might dl to try it out.The only thing i would say is that its a bit sloppy.Good map though

    I see your resemblances to Ascension (ah Ascension, how I miss you!), but your map seems a bit messy... I'm a bit picky sorry. Maybe go through the map and touch up some spots here and there. I can't download, but when I can I'll be sure to give it a look. And that was nice first post!

    Oh wow... you have achieved something that is very hard to do here. I give you uberprops for this. It's almost impossible to make a map that looks rocky, or uneven, or like a mountain or something, and still have it look neat. Most maps like this just turn out loking really sloppy and poorly thought-out. However, here, we can clearly tell that the map is very well-forged, and designed expertly. I don't know how you did it, but you did. +50.

    Anyway, I really like the layout of the map. One of the downsides of a map like this is that it's pretty hard to tell what the map really looks like from the pics, but I DL'd to check it out and it looks pretty awesome. I'm constantly amazed by how you managed to get the map to actually look and feel... mountain-y? Yeah, mountain-y. Word of the day.

    Gameplay is pretty nice here too. The flow is a lot different from most maps nowadays, without the boxy structures and corridors we all know too well. The map plays ENTIRELY different from other Halo maps. It almost reminds me more of playing CoD 4, where you're constantly trying to grab the high ground and remain in cover. Personally, I have found that SWAT is INCREDIBLE on this map. This is defiantely my total go-to map for SWAT now.

    It looks really sloppy. especially the wall corners. It looks hard to manuver around too. I do see the resembalance to ascention though.

    I see a little resemblence but overall it looks choppy and blocky. Needs more interlock.

    Oh, Ascension FTW. That was one of my favorite maps in Halo 2 and I can see the resemblance in Uplift. Looks like a fun map, but the spawn, weapon placement could be a bit adjusted. I saw that other attempt at Ascension on Youtube and yeah, it failed. Nice job 5/5

    at first i was like, "SLOPPY WALLS!!!" but then i saw what you were trying to do. and now that i realize it, you did do a great job making it look rocky. of course, you probably said that in the post, which i have a habit of skipping...

    anyway. great job, great first post. 5/5. Keep on Forging, and Welcome to ForgeHub!

    Thank you very much, everythign you have said is very helpful. Unfortunately, I'm awful at geomerging, but I may re-work the walls and corners. Soem of the map was made a while ago, some was made recently.

    Seriously, it wasn't harsh, it was very helpful.
