Whisper's Rough Sketchup.

    Whisper's Rough Sketchup. [UPDATED]

    K, here we go. This is just a rough draft, without a lot of aesthetic items and other things that I plan to put in (if I make this).
    This map is meant to be a Conquest map first and foremost. Sure, it will also be playable with team slayer and CTF, but I think Conquest will be best.

    UPDATES

    I thought it might be cool if I made the map somewhat more accessible for the ghosts, so I added two little ramp to each of the far boxes (you'll see where I mean on the pictures). Hopefully, the ghost will be able to hop from one box to the other. I haven't tested this in-game, so I don't know if it will work though.

    Also, I added signs in the first picture that I forgot to add in second. Those signs will be there to stop the ghost from flying off when getting on top of the boxes :D

    I see some hard geomerges. And the angle from the slope to the foundry walls (on the slanted boxes) look to difficult to be possable. This looks like it would be a great map if you pulled this off but I don't know how successful you will be while duplicating each side perfectly. Good luck though!

    Looks like it has great potential despite the hard geomerges, but hopefully you're up to the challenge. Can't wait to see the finished product.

    And, I'm just curious, is that a program you used to create the images? If so is it available for download or anything that I could get my hands on. I'm fairly new and a designer would help me think of ideas because I have trouble in that depertment xD.

    Yeah, and I'm pretty lazy/don't have a lot of time, so I don't know if I'm going to make this. I might recruit some people to help me...

    I think for Conquest you should block of the middle area (where the boxes are) --I think that'd make it more like a conquest map. But this layout is rather simple and nice. I hope you do this whispy.

    it looks good to me, nice and detailed but simple. however, a good majority of the map feels empty and lacking something. just my thoughts.

    Well, there will be other stuff that I just couldn't add in Sketchup because I didn't have the models for them.

    Why? I was planning on putting a territory there. I was thinking that if you had like a 4v4, you'd have to strategize on which two people to send where, etc. It also makes it a little bit harder because there are two chokepoints instead of one.

    That's a good question to which I don't know the answer. I have 8 on my design, which isn't very much. I assume that we can have AT LEAST that many.

    It depends on the map your working on, Foundry lets to place 12 Territory markers.

    I added a new feature to one of the areas of the map. Please scroll about halfway down the first post to where it says 'UPDATES' in huge ass letter to see what I added.

    That's good and all Whispy, I see your point. I just don't like conquest map's that have either off-set choke points or more than one. However, your's may please me. :)

    We'll see. It wouldn't be that hard to close it off if it turns out that it's bad :D
