This is a Halo 3 infection gametype and map based on the movie 28 Days Later.

I'm really surprised that no one has made a gametype based on the movie so I decided to do so.

    I. Introduction

The map is based on the zombie movie 28 Days Later and I wanted to go for a "destroyed city" feeling so I decided to go with Ghost Town.

    A. Back Story

A virus has broken out called "The Rage Virus" where those who are infected are driven into an enraged state where they would kill anyone who is not infected. The virus was released into the city of London,
    28 days later...
The city of London is now deserted and the only few survivors must depend on each other trying to survive the virus.

    B. Summary

This is a basic zombie game with certain rules implemented into it so team work is a must. The map changes in time so it will get darker so at a certain point you will be unable to see, so know the map. There are different stages of the game.

    II. The Map

The map changes in time using Gloomy and Oldtimey FX
The survivors(humans) spawn inside two different houses and they are not safe so the survivors must make it to the base in the middle of the map, inside the base is a teleporter receiver and outside it is a teleporter sender
the reciever is blocked by a fusion coil that spawns every ten seconds. The teleporter is the only place to let people inside the base. So whoever s[awns inside the base has to let people in however try not to let infected in.
The map changes in time and over time different stages are set, once the zombies are released then the humans must defend and gather in the base. After that when dawn falls ramps are put up and the zombies will get into the base. Finally the backdoor opens the base to zombie spawns and the zombies will get into the base more easily.
I made it so teamwork is a must.

    III. Gameplay

The game lasts for 6 minutes with 5 rounds

When the humans spawn in the base this gives them time to get to the door of the base before zombies are released. The zombies are released in 30 seconds so here is the basic scenario:

    At The Beginning...
    Humans spawn
    [IMG]

    30 Seconds Later...
An infected is released from the quarantined area
    [IMG]

    2 Minutes, 30 Seconds Later...
Ramps Appear and the infected make it inside the base
    [IMG][IMG]
    [IMG][IMG]

    3 Minutes Later...
The doors are broken open and the infected are let inside.
    [IMG][IMG]
    A. Humans

Humans are the survivors of this story the survivors spawn inside two houses except for one who spawns inside the main base.

The humans that spawn inside the unsafe houses must get to the main base where it's safe. The person inside the base must keep an eye on the door where the teleporter with the fusion coil is and wait for people to come to destroy the fusion coil to let people in.

    [IMG][IMG]

The survivors inside the houses spawn with pistols and are given a few firebomb grenades aka Molotov cocktails there are only a few so if you got one make sure you use it wisely the grenades are only used to give survivors a fighting chance when heading towards the base.

However the infected can still kill you even when on fire so it's suggested you just run and throw.

Another thing is that humans who are in the base are suggested to clear out the door of infected so survivors can get in, they do this using the turret.

    [IMG][IMG]

    The human attributes are:

    • 100% Damage Resistance
    • Normal Shields
    • 100% Shield Recharge Rate
    • Damage Modifier: 100%
    • Pistol as Starting weapon
    • No Starting Grenades
    • No Infinite Ammo
    • Weapon Pickup Allowed
    • 100% Movement
    • 150% Gravity
    • Appearance: Black
    Last Man Traits:

    • Appearance: White
    • Recharge Rate: 50%
    • Shields Normal
    • Damage Resistance 150%
    • Everything else is unchanged
    B. Zombies

It starts with one zombie or infected, the Infected start out inside an enclosed box as shown before and after 30 seconds fusion coils explode and release them out in the open. There is nothing more to say except they are faster, can jump higher, and have more damage resistance then humans.
Their appearance is red much like the Rage Virus makes the victims eyes turn red.

    Attributes:

    • Damage resistance 150%
    • One hit kill with headshots
    • No shields
    • Damage Modifier: 100%
    • Primary Weapon Energy
    • Infinite Ammo
    • Movement 150%
    • Gravity: 100%
    • Appearance: Red
    • Are able to see everyone's waypoints.
    IV. Weapons

Most of the weapons on the map are located in the base and cannot respawn and have zero clips the only problem is if the human who spawns inside the main base takes all of the ammo so a little tip: don't play with selfish people.
However I wanted to give the survivors a fighting chance so I put an assault rifle next to both houses with zero extra clips and no respawn. However keep in mind these zombies arn't assault rifle friendly so don't try to storm towards the zombie trying to be the hero that's how many lives are lost. The sniper is the only weapon with one extra clip.

    Weapon List:

    • Assault Rifles x6
    • Battle Rifles x7
    • Shotgun x7
    • Sniper Rifle x1
    • Turret x1
Keep in mind the weaponary in the base is a work in progress if anyone who plays this game feels the weapons are over powered then please PM me or post a comment keep in the mind the weapons are set to

    Respawn: Never
    Clips: 0

    Except for the sniper.
So it's important to conserve and only shoot when you know you will kill them.
    Hint:
The screen on the sniper has night vision and can spot out the silhouette of people and enemies on the screen.
It doesn't show on this screenshot however when it gets dark you can still see people more easily on the sniper screen without scoping.

    V. Conclusion

This is a fun map as long as everyone knows what's going on and what to do and the people you play with are mature and don't hog all of the weapons. The game is meant to be a team game so don't leave people hanging.

If there are any problems such as getting in the base before the ramps appear or camping then please PM me or post it in a comment thank you.

I'm sure this isn't the first 28 Days Later map, but it's probably better than others. Good job keeping to the 28 Days Later story, with firebombs and scarcity of weapons (we don't all have guns in England, ya know). Good job.

Thanks for the comments guys, I didn't know someone already made a gametype of it oh well. I'm just glad I didn't use foundry this time like everyone else. I wanted a good map with a nice "deserted" or "destroyed" scenery. SO has anyone played this game with anyone yet? Just out of curiosity

This map is amazing for a map on ghost town and it's a great credit to your creativity and your forging ability. Well done on the post aswell, my posts let me down because I usually don't spend a good part of an hour explaining the map in every single way and limit it to pictures and a brief description. all in all 5/5. Well done

I love maps like this. They are so intense. You know that the zombies are going to break down the door and you have nowhere to go So you respond with assult rifle and Battle Rifle
