The Meat Shop is a tactical map that works best when playing doubles BRs, there are four bases each with multiple ways to enter them and each with two levels. There is a rocket launcher and a sniper rifle, each located in a separate base and the are many perches where someone can put the sniper to use without dominating the entire opposition. Setting up your team is crucial if you want to have good positioning and a way to flee when your about to die. The weapons are all MLG weapons giving it a very balance feel Lots of BRs Lots of Carbines Frags and plasmas 1x Sniper Rifle 1x Rocket Launcher 1x Mauler 1x Plasma Pistol 1x Overshield This is the first map I have completed so any feedback (good or bad) is appreciated. Yellow Base (the teleporters are two way and are linked to the corners out side the base on their respective sides.) The Mauler spawns on the top level and the green gun on the bottom. B-side tower and porch The tower is a very exposed high ground but can be used to jump to the top of yellow base as well as to the b-side porch. The porch can also be accessed from the b-base. the map is ok. What I really like about the map is the layout, however the forging isnt that great. I can tell you have great ideas for forging. Check out the forging 101 section and try to geomerge in some spots and interlock better in other spots. Overall 2/5
yeah i have spent a lot of time thinking about the different tactics on this map and it plays really well if you use strategy but i am very new to the actual forging.
For a map like this, the gameplay was not that bad, to my surprise. It get's a 3/5 from me because of gameplay. Although, for being a newcomer to forging, this is pretty good. I would interlock more though, to make things neater. I would also suggest to take a look through forging 101. It'll give you the forging info and tips you need. If that doesn't work, you can learn through experience, like I did. Also, why Meat Shop? The name makes no sense...
The meat shop is an unusual name but i have to give you props for it.The is not bad.Even if you were going for a no interlocking look, the map can use alittle work but i can't judge gameplay from pictures.Nice map
i just just feel a little sick of so many maps being given "one sinister word names" and i thought that the meat shop fit in with my gamertag so. just trying to switch it up a little
This map seems a little open. i think you should have put 1 or 2 tall structures. Also you hsould have flipped over the bridges and boxes because it looks so much better
The whole concept of this map is good but I think it can really be better For starters, I would try to clean it up a little. All of the structures look really nice but the wall (The one trying to keep players in the map) looks sloppy. I think you have a good idea going bu I would spend some more time on it.
well, this map is not the best but is realy not that great. try interlocking, geomerging, and testing of this map. i do see that u interlocked in some spots but just not enough. maby make a v2 and get back to us, this map has some potential and keep on forgeing
well, I'll just tell you this now. TONS of featured map have the same kind of layout and basic idea. Only difference IS that it's interlocked, everything is smooth and neat, and looks really cool and fun to play on. Think about it. 2/5
this could be a neat map if you put some more working into evolving it. It seems to me you only know the basics of forging, and with some of the newer and more prominent techniques we have, you could really turn this into an awesome map. You've got a layout that works, but some of the map is just too plain. The area with the shield doors standing there out of nowhere doesnt quite seem plausable. They serve the purpose for cover, but they look aweful in terms of the overall picture. additionally, theres nothing wrong with floating bridges, but the maps always look more believeable and filled in if you have a vertical double box supporting them or something of that nature as well. flipping the bridges also gives a neater, more professional look. please visit the Forging 101 guide for help. happy forging!
