Hey everyone i'm just letting everyone know that my 360 has received the deadly Red Rings of Death. This means that I will not be on for about a month or so... thanks to my brother. I also will not be able to compete in the 1v1 tournament. I will be online alot more now that I am unable to use my 360. If anyone needs to talk to me, my aim is I Cottage I. - I Cottage I
Bad luck mate. I posted in the 1v1 tourney forum to help, saying that you couldn't play. Hope I was helpful, if I did the wrong thing tell me
It happens to the best of us... I went through the same dilemma last year. That sucks about the 1v1 tourney.
Np, and yeah it does suck, I had it too, Microsoft took nine months to sort it out! But I think I was just unlucky. I hope, you don't go through the same torment
cottage i actually was gonna go see if you had any ideas for some of the gametypes/map stuff in the Star Wars Map Pack...ill prolly send a friend request on AIM and we can discuss it....tho u dont have a 360 to try it on lol
Heh, I remember when my GPU fried in my 360 the day after Christmas. I went one day, cringed, and bought a 360 arcade system. The funny thing is that the "replacement" system that I got back from M$ is also failing (probably the GPU in this case as well). Sheesh.
This is all just an elaborate way to duck your 1v1 opponent... (joking) Sorry to hear... I don't want to get your hopes up, but I understand the turnaround time for repairs is supposed to be a lot lower nowadays. Do I believe it? Not really. Let us know how long it takes. (last time on the phone with xbox support, they told me they do 1-day shipping now)
My Red ring 360 got back to me within 2 weeks. They are just sending out refurbished units upon receipt of broken units now.
Yea i know what really happened. You found that i was in your tournament table. Top left. And you took a hammer to your xbox, knowing that you would never beat me. Its ok, the secret is between me and you. Na Jk. Sorry to hear that cottage, thats really Bs.
Just something funny i might add.... but instead of wasting ur time sending it in to Microsoft have u ever just tried unplugging everything chilling for 15 mins then plugging back in.... ive got the death lights 3 times now and i did my steps and it works fine now. Maybe thats just my luck but maybe u should try before sending in
I believe they are different errors, one is an overheat and the other (RRoD) a hardware fail. There are probably lots more. Anyway his Xbox is fixed and this is incredibly old now, so this meeting is adjourned.
