Ok, so as we all know, when you try to put a vehicle into the floor it sinks in and kills itself. Now, I thought, what if we could put in a "floor" down there. To test this I sank a double box. to see it i made stairs and used the turret method, but i died instantly, here is the result: Now, what if we did this with bridges to make sort of a cup down there so it wouldn't sink...
I think it still would sink... unless.... you save and quit? Is that what you did? This is a good idea.
I'm curious to see how this turns out. Try it with the save and quit for the bridges, and vehicle, like Mooregames mentioned. This sounds like it might work, and it could be pretty useful sometimes if it did.
Yes this does sound interesting, but whats the point if you can spawn down there lol. You die instantly over and over, so check that too because if you make a map underground and you cant spawn there whats the Point :squirrel_nono:
I get that geometry thing, but im talking about the floor thing if you were to create a level down there could you spawn. So you could alo test that out too.
Spawning could be a possibility. I remember seeing a map outside of High Ground that used floated crates to let people spawn and play out there. You couldn't get off them though.
dood, he's not talking about spawning there is not one mention of spawning this article read the first post, he wants to make a cup to keep vehicles from sinking and disapearing
Definitely curious to see the outcome of all this. Please be sure to outline all the steps you take to accomplish it if it works.
My friend has no problem at all with this... he did the save/quit method and basically made a floor under foundry and under water :squirrel_hug:
First of all, it's weird that there is water under Foundry. And on topic has the OP gotten this to work? I really want to have stationary GAUSS turrets.
Ok, my origional theory was proven false, or at least it seemed so. BUT I have discovered 2 new things 1)hog turrets these are made by sinking the hogs to a depth where the ground will be touching the frame of the hog, use the sinking method... the hog will be sunken after deleting the box but will pop up when you get too close to it. this is why you must place a window panel or other solid object above it to secure it. 2)wraith turrets they have about 45* shot radius to either side. to make it spawn the wraith, then make a double box where it would spawn (off to a side to cover a wing). Then the wraith will not be able to move but it can be destroyed and respawn properly. You can drive it and fire.
