Download Map Download Gametype Ok first Posting hope i'm doing this right. Fortification is an assult game map that utilizes the idea of an actual fortified structure. It places three turrets on the top of the fort with two inside meant to defend the gaps. As a last resort one more turret is placed directly in front of the drop off point. The game type Fort Takedown has the bombcarrier with basic overshields, poor camo (you can see him cause of the shield anyway) and 110% movement speed. This allows the bomb carrier some extra zip to their step for some interesting manuvers and dodges. Here are a couple of pics showing interesting points on the map. Trip mines play a huge part in defense. Once two mines are used the mines begin to instantly respawn. So you can dedicate 3 people to turrets on the top two to trip mines and one defending the actual pad without being pressed hard. This is probabbly the strongest defense. Even with all that firepower the offense stands a good shot at getting through. There are four bubble shields placed throught out the map, along with deployable cover that can stand up to a turret for long enough to get behind cover. There are only two ranged weapons for the offense and that comes in the form of centinel beams. Trust me when i say that they are effective for the turret crews. get a direct shot and they barely have a chance. The offense has three main storage facilities. One which holds equipment like small arms and two that hold both gernades and firearms. Also houses mongooses if your crazy and reckless you can use them. One important feature is the flamethrower. It is located at the top of the ramp that resides in the very center of the map. Here's a pic for reference Well i'm not sure what else to include so here are just a few pictures showing more of the map. Enjoy them and the map. This is my first map that i am publishing so criticism is welcome. I'd rather have this in casual, but I digress. Great use of min/max. I dislike the weapons being clumped up, but for the most part, it's pretty cool.
meh, its ok but too many swords, and you have clusters of weapons in the same area. some items could use some centering. all and all its a cool idea, just even out the flaws.
Glad I could help you in figuring out how to post. Anyways the map look likes one from the old days, which I miss. While I want to download the map, my xbox is broken.
Hello and welcome to the forums, if there's anything that you have questions about feel free to ask. Do you have any action shots? Judging from the pictures you've posted it just seems like you and a friend switched teams a couple of times and ran around shooting at random stuff. But despite that the map looks pretty good . And I have to say that this was an excellently posted map by the way. Peace // gorebound
I am not a fan of the weapons placed on this map. 1. To many turrets 2. Sentanal Beam 3. Swords Just not feeling it... -Donuts
Oh man you too eh? I'm on my third xbox and this one scratches my discs and microsoft isn't even going to get me new ones. :S :squirrel_rant: :squirrel_nono: :squirrel_eyebrow: As for the map I don't like how many turrets there are placed on the map and the 3 swords in one place seems a bit overdone.
yea, i pretty much agree with the majority of people. The weapons are clustered, there are way to many turrets and I think that you overpowered the Defenders a little too much. Trip mines that instantly respawn just adds to the overpowerment of the defenders. The map itself is alrite. Like what Doughnut said ,'' Just not feeling it..." It was better than most first post. =)
Ok the placment of swords was supposed to be artistic it did not urn out the way i wanted it too. sorry fo the misplacment of those weapons
<< agreed, this map kinda looks hastily put together and im not really a fan of weapons all in one spot either.
