-CONTROL: A new kind of competitive play- -First off, maybe this should be in MLG, but seeing as the ONLY weapon you have is a BR, it seems more competitive-forum. I named it MLG Control, but that was just a quick fix.- There are 8 differnt hills in CONTROL. Your objective is to slay. But stay in the vertical hills to gain points. Hills move every 15 seconds, 200 Points to win. If you don't kill your opponent in the hill, hop in it to stop his points from going up. You must have uncontested control to gain points. HILL 1: The Circle HILL 2: The Parting Sea HILL 3: Hill 3 surrounds the entire map. You can only get time by killing all of the enemy team at once. this is actually a pretty good idea and i like it how you called it "a new kind of competitive play". anyways to feedback the map layout is pretty good and the interlocking is clean but the hills sometimes seem pretty skinny especially "charlie brown". but other than that it seems like fun map but mabey like some small peices of cover every once in a while because i dont like getting brd from across the map. but hey thats just me
I wasn't focusing on interlocking too much. And, you do die quite a bit, but it comes down to if you have the best BR. I reccomend this for 1v1 or 2v2 (Due to its small size) but 3v3 could work two. (It has enough spawns for 8v8 but.... thats a HORRIBLE idea. They were suppposed to be narrow. Make it harder.
Seems like a great idea for a gametype. Usually, king of the hill games are those sumo type games, or regular hill. This promotes teamwork, because you have to kill the whole team in such a small open area. One thing though, I think you have to take out the "new kind of competitive" out of the thread title, because you can only have the map name there.
It looks great, well forged. I have one question though, do you spawn in the middle or do spawn behind cover?
idea stealer, i was gonna make this after my daily fh check. oh well you made it first and you actually had a general idea of your map by the looks of it, also can you plz add some kind of cover, if your going for an open map the put cover in the ground just enuf so you can crouch behind it and not get hit. anyway the map looks good especially with the stairs in the corner (im gonna asume thoes are for aethetics) and i like where the hill are set to, may i aslo ask if i could do a vertical map based off this seeing as you took my last idea? originality:5/5 ~~~~~~~~~ neatness:5/5 post:4/5 overall:14/15
Now this map is really good and seems like it would play-out just fine. I like the stairs and the entire map is pretty clean. Now it seems to me that when you did not make an attempt to merge all of your "box boundaries"... you were getting lazy. That is not good. This map is great and the post is fine... good job all around! -Irish
This is actually a pretty creative idea.I like how you really can't camp because each one of the hills move every 15secs. The idea i've never seen before so i give you props.The name you gave actually fits with the map.4/5
You know....that is truly a good idea. Positioning the hill sideways to cause people to move to different parts of the map. As good of an idea as that may be, the map is lacking. Its as blank as a grifball court. There needs to be obstacles and geometry in the map. Without it.....well.....there are spawn kills and.....the gameplay is boring. Good idea but improve the map. nice map i like the work and time it must have taken to get the hills perfet. i like the idea i dont think there is any thing i dont like about it and ill dl.
this is actually a really good idea... kinda... LAWL have u done testing... cause maybe the complete lack of cover (tho a good idea) will make it even match no matter the player skills depending on their spawns it will just shift who is winning... but assuming it works... THIS is a great idea... maybe clean up the wall and make it a little more presentable staraight... and add some aesthetics.... and a little cover in the middle like a window pannel or something... so that their is even more skill involved... just suggestions the map is good enough but if u want to make it better
I actually had pretty much the exact same idea, but instead of br's everyone had needlers, and when you were in the hill you were invincible but slow. Your interlocks and whatnot look good but I don't think the gametype would eventuate to any more that run forward and shoot.
I love this! This map idea is very unique and it would take real skill and teamwork to be able to score points in the hill. It takes the empty arena idea to a new level that i have never seen before in a competitive map. I would not be surprised to see this featured. 10/10
