Total Recall Created by Lorranus Supported Gametypes: 2v2 Slayer, could be good for ctf but needs to be setup. Map Description This map is a bit like 'gridlocked' but I made this one before that and I think it is a bit more fun. It is the whole of foundry used and in the main arena has long boxes stacked on end. You spawn in the small rooms with shelves and have a choice of BR or Carbine and either shield regenerator or portable shield. Then you make your way out into the grid like battle field either on foot or by mongoose. At either side of the arena there is facing staircases with grav lifts at the top to get on to the top of the boxes where the sword and laser are. At the bottom you will find sniper and rockets but they have explosive barrel near so be careful getting them. This map is very well balanced and I have made use of a custom power up that I have set to give you a bit more speed for 30 seconds. Please try this map, I guarantee you will find it fun, it is not complex, I made it a long time ago before people started inter-weaving stuff. I have have a lot of comments during games saying it is the best forged map they've played. _________________________________________________ Grav lifts are at either side to get on top Sword and laser are on top, Rockets and sniper are down low _________________________________________________ You really need to try this map, even 1v1 is awesome. This map needs more pics, because from what i see, it is just double boxes stacked in a grid-like pattern. Nothing too special. There isn't a very good description either. Please edit this post to make it better. P.S. I suggest adding more pictures
Wait, can people gat on top of the boxes.... yeah you can! OK well the comparison to gridlocked was a "noob" comparison. Neither of us can do some things on that map! Your map looks like a "friend map". I would suggest thinking of a more original idea with more of the forging 101 traits. Also correct post! -Irish
This reminds me of gridlock a little. But it looks like a nice, smooth setup. Could you add a few more pics of where the shield doors are, looking out into the map. But it looks like it could be a run around in a circle kind of map with a shotgun. Ill test it out though
this map looks a lot like one of the featured maps but i still like this one. its not at its veary best but yet still good. i dont like much about the map but it must have taken some time to do even though it was really simple (mostly spacing it out would be hard though) thank for post you map but try to be more... complex
Seriously, a grid of double boxes and few weapons. If this does resemble a movie very closely then good job, otherwise i would just believe it to be a few boxes. It does look like the rows sand columns are very straight, for looks 5/5 for originality/creative thinking 2.5/5. By the way welcome to forgehub.
yeah this does look a lot like gridlock, however it seems that most of this map is power weapons so add some brs and dual wieldable weapons into the mix also thos shotgun boxes in the corner even though you can through some grenades in them, are just asking to be camped in 3/5
Why make a remake of a featured map with the gameplay of a thousand? If you aimed to make a remake of gridlocked it would either be the same(gameplay wise) or even worse.. I am not critisizing your attempt but i dont see a point.. I understand you wanted to base it off of a movie but there could of been more originality or creativity involved in this map... You overused shield doors ,you could have made some unique structures,it is only set up for one gametype,i cant even tell if you geo-merged the boxxes,and the fact that you made the map symmetrical with nothing unique in the map shows me that you didnt spend a decent amount of time in this map..Otherwise for your post theres not enough pics.
Its not a remake. Check the creation date, I made it well before Gridlock was made, I just decided to post it cause I saw people must have liked his one. It is a very simple slayer map and I swear it is very well balanced, the rockets have one clip and are surrounded by fusion barrels and the laser is hard to hit people in this enviroment. there are 4 carbines and 4 Br's and some other well placed weapons. This map will not be appreciated until its played.
So its a mixture of gridlocked and Vertigo? Sounds ok, but not all that interesting... Not much effort was put into it.... 2/5, sorry.
maps like this are cool how theyre dotted with pillars. i made one like this. although this seems plain. but if some one wants a slayer map thats perfectly fair/equal then this is it. 4/5 make a v2 with (a lot) more stuff and itll be 5/5
i really have to agree with vinco on this one; while im sure this map is fun (all gridlock type maps are), its one of a thousand of its kind. Try adding some innovative features to your maps, develop your own style of map making. just puting boxes on end isn't very exciting and a deadbrain monkey could do it. fun should always be your top priority, but some individuality couldn't hurt. i would also look up the forging101 section on how to interlock and geomerge, they open a whole wide range of options.
