Before anything, anyone starts, I want to start this.

You should expect no reward for participating in this Community run/created project. Don't expect to make a profit for participating, do not expect fame, do not expect reputation. Under no circumstance should you ever expect a profit, all you can do is just expect a "good job" with a pat on the back knowing you participated in something that could've have been potentially great. Do not expect success.

    Background Info
Flock 22 is a community inspired resource pack for Adobe Photoshop.

Run by the community and created by the community at 22Pixels.com

    It contains:
    • 100+ fonts
    • 100+ Brush Packs
    • Self Installs

I want to make this perfectly clear:

This idea is in no way trying to compete with the original Flock made by the community members of 22pixels. I along with many others have utmost respect for the community at 22flock we are simply using their idea, but none of their content.

    What We're Attempting
At this point, you're more or likely sick of hearing about background info, 22flock (or not) and me undermining this community.

I'm suggesting that we basically make one for ourselves to show that members here at Forgehub G&A are indeed serious graphics designers.

Not only that, this will also on a very, very, far, far, FAR, stretch somehow shine light on some of our artists and help them possibly open up more opportunities and experiences from this community project. Think of it as a concert for unsigned, unrecognized bands trying to make it to stardom. Everyone needs their big break right?

What Programs Are We Primarily Focused On?
    Good question!

And the answer is really: all of them.

As of right now however to be specific:
    • Photoshop 7 and Up
    • GIMP
    • Flash CS and Up
    • Dreamweaver*

Of course, as more and more people wish to help (hopefully) we'll be able to extend the boundaries of project "Flubber44" and include lesser known programs usually un-recognized in the GFX community.

*Dreamweaver is an adobe/macromedia program used to create and design web pages. It's not been confirmed in project "Flubber44" but I really wish and hope that someone will step up and help out. What we'll be looking for will be discussed in a later section.
    ____________________
What Operating Systems Are You Primarily Focused On?
    I hope all of them.

Right now I know we have many members using both PC and Apple operating systems. So naturally, PC and Apple are high up on the list.

However, I do wish to include Linux users here and I don't want to leave artists who use Linux and other operating systems left completely in the dark. I hope to dear lord that someone will step up on Linux's behalf in this project.

What Are We Looking To Include?

Good question, and again, the answer is:

    Everything and anything.

Specifically however at the bare minimum we are looking for:

    Flash
    • Actionscript Tutorials
    • Tween's

    Photoshop
    • Brushes
    • .PSD
    • Tutorials

    GIMP
    • .XCF (Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not to familiar with GIMP)
    • Brushes
    • Tutorials

    Dreamweaver
    • Tutorials (from dreamweaver use to PHP to PERL whatever you wish)
    • Templates

    MISC.
    • Fonts
    • Wallpapers
    • Boot Screens
    • Logon Screens
    • Customization Tutorials
    • OS Themes

The list goes on and on, the more people we have working, the better this pack will be.

Will I Get Credit For My Work?

Of course! I will add a sort of 'bibliography' of all the artists who have contributed and what and how they have contributed. This is of course one of the main goals to this project, to shine the light on some overlooked artists.
    ___________________
    Requirements?

    Not a lot. :D

    • Common Sense
    • Creativity
    • Determination
    • Trust

Let's face it, some people (I know, me too) aren't very trustworthy and don't seem to really care about the well being of Forgehub. Well, I promise you, I will give me 100% effort and trust that I will work as hard as I can to help everyone who is willing to participate.

It's not necessary to contribute more than anyone else, it's not a competition, if all you can submit is one thing, you will still be accredited!

However, I want to make it perfectly clear, everything you contribute must be made by you or with the help of you and someone else. You must accredit the partner as well. Do not plagiarize, if we catch that your contribution is a plagiarism all of your future contributions will be rejected. This is your only warning.

    Who's Involved?

    So far only:
    • Me
    • Knight Kninja

But we are hoping everyone or the majority of the community takes part in this project.

    How Do I Get Started?!
Simply PM me or post in this thread if you want to join!

Any other questions just ask me on PM or post it here!

A full discussion board I am setting up right now will be used to discuss and submit entries along with reviewing of the entries, when the project is done I plan on deleting the discussion board!

    I hope everyone contributes! <3

It's like a big pot, if everyone were to just donate one thing, we'd have a pot worth millions.

I plan personally on contributing my first ever font, .psd's and tutorials.

Apologies to double post, I just wanted people to know that there is a forum now to post their contributions to Flubber.

    Flubber44: IT'S FLUBBBBBEERRR - Index

I've really went out on a limb here guys, i've allowed unlimited PM's and ALL attachments along with a couple of other features so that the forum has more of a group collaboration feel to it. Please do not abuse it.

Question: you keep making references to a proverbial pot that we're all throwing stuff into. Are there going to be any standards for the ingredients of this pot? Or more eloquently put, in order to ensure the statement that this package will make as to the quality of ForgeHub's graphics artists, are we going to filter the submissions according to their quality and only include the best? To bluntly state the reason one might wish to do so is because there's a chance that some submissions could very easily be well beneath the net quality that ForgeHub is capable of, and we should desire to present ourselves with the very best material we can. Not to be exclusive or anything, but simply to make sure that we're putting our best foot forward, so to speak...

What about stocks? Should we throw like... 400 of those in there, also?

If you didn't know about the Forgehub tutorial database, you should take a look at that. Linky. I don't care if you use my tutorials (I'll be adding more), but you may want to ask the other members on there if you can use theirs. Also, I have a set of multicolored scanlines I can throw in the pile too. I'll have to link them later, I have to work soon.

You can create a brush through Photoshop I believe. There are tutorials online.

Yes you can throw in any stocks and or renders created by you.

And I suppose there are standards but right now it's so early, those standards aren't really known.

    So, whats this all about?

My bad, I thought I was on the first page...

    @Terrax

You can make brushes using (if you want to be good at them, and have good brushes) adobe illustrator. There, you can make custom designed brushes, that will really fit your needs.

I'm not really sure what I should do though you know?

Should I just PM everyone I see or just make another bulletin post or whatever.

    Btw:

Mallet and Drax, i'm planning on posting your work to a backup source and on the forum so that we have a backup and record of who posts what.

I just don't know if people will report me for spam, i'm already an infraction away from being warned again, and being warned kind of puts a negative view on this project.
