I went out and bought the whole deal, but I'll be honest and say I don't know much about car audio. I bought the best to my knowledge that my money could buy, and I'm happy with the crisp sound.

    What do you think?

Know any good music to keep my rear view mirror rattlin?

    I must say, exquisite setup.
I'm running a Pioneer DEH2900MP deck with a 1600watt two channel Amp and a pair of 1150Watt Infinity 12's. I'd love to upgrade to Rockford's but what I have works for me.

I install all my stuff myself though :)

*edit* a sealed box might give you a better Bass effect over a ported box.

Thanks for the Tip Ty, the box I bought comes with a plug for that hole so maybe I'll try to throw that on and see how it sounds.

That might give you a taste of a sealed box, but I guess it just depens on the quality of the box and/or cover. I build my own sealed boxes and make them completely airtight, then stuff them with stuffed animal stuffing from Hobby stores. The sealed boxes w/ your sub pointed at the trunk generally create a nice bandpass effect. Sometimes you have to insulate your trunk lid with sound-deadening material, or hear the dreaded rattle and/or tightening crap down all the time. lol

Yeah, I'm already hearing my licence plate rattle during some songs that generate alot of bass. I'll have to seal that somehow.

One question I have though...I still have the factory 6x9s which sounds fine to me. I was just wondering if you thought getting a pair of 3 ways would create a noticable difference in sound? It sounds great at mid level right now but when turn volume up to a high level it starts to get distorted.

Im not that big of a fan of Rockford Fosgate but i do admit they have gotten better since back in the day... I love Pioneer though, they are the best as far as the upper middle class of in dash head units.

I used to have a Pioneer and 2 Infinty W12's in the back, that **** was loud. Twas nice. Infinity is a great brand, i wouldnt consider RF an upgrade from them Ty. Unless you have really crappy bottom of the line Infinity subs.

Tit- No they aren't bottom of the line Infiniti's I can't remember the name, but they are Infinity's of the higher quality.

SPOC- as far as insulating your trunk, just a buy a roll of cound carpet from cardomain.com or your local audio store.
as far as upgrading stock speakers, I HIGHLY recommend it. The stick speakers in the dash of my car in high school where 3.5" little crap speakers, I got a pair of Phoenix Gold Octane R 3.5" for $50, those are some of the best speakers I've ever owned. As far as 6X9's go, any set of Pioneer two or three ways will give you better mid-range sound. If you're looking for some little speakers though the PGO are amazing. Thoselittle things have better sound themselves than most bottom end Pioneer 6x9's.

Thanks Ty, I'm bidding on some pioneer 6x9s on ebay right now. As far as my door panels, I'll have to see what size i need but I'll keep the PGO in mind when I'm shopping for them. I know I can install the 6x9s myself but I wonder how hard the door panels will be to install on my own.

Generally the door panels are one piece and they're held on by plastic clips or screws on the side. The best way to figure out how to do it yourself is to do a Google search for "installing speakers (insert car make model here)" and there's most likely a site or blog that'll tell you how to do it. If that not for you, you can alwasy buy a Chilton's manual on your car.

I'll see if I can find pictures, but I got that new '07 Subaru and all that's in it is the deck and the subs, I haven't broken down and gotten custom speakers for it yet.

My deck, except my accent lights are green, this one could be a slightly different model.
