now everyone knows that no map is perfect but there is at one element in every map that people like. for example in relic in halo 2 i loved that u had to activate the teleporters in the base. but this topic is not about my favorite things. i wanna hear what was your favorite thing in maps youve played cause who knows someone might make a map with everything in it
can these be forge maps. if so i like the switch in coolants porcelyn pony. it took me like a half hour to figure out how he did it. im actually using a switch like his in my map based on "3 little pigs and the big bad wolf"
Me liekz Sanctuary for no apparent reason. Or the mancannons on Narrows, they add a feel to the map. Maybe some holes like in Isolation? Lubbing 2-3 floored maps.
Any maps that have a real "urban combat" feel to them really appeal to me. Halo 3 examples: Highground:kinda Foundry Rat's Nest The Pit
The lift room in Guardian. The bottom floor main intersection on Epitaph. The caves on the outer edge of Valhalla. Actually, just Guardian, Epitaph and Valhalla.
I liked the semi secret path up to the sword room in Construct. Very few people seem to know/use it. Contruct has the most hidden secrets, so it ftw.
From Halo- combat evolved, the snow level was a belter which im surprised didnt make another appearance in later games. Reason being is that the terrain offered a good battle ground for 8v8 games and the ice was useful for those spawning in the outside as all veichles skidded at parts. The weapons on map were also positioned greatly as well as v teleporters. Halo 2- containment was rather fun - same reason for the previous, it was just carnage. Asension was also fun mainly because the layout of the map meant everyone made quick dashes towards either the rocket, banshee or towers. Headlong- legend, love the fact its cityscape and lots of advantage points make one flag CTF and bomb highly enjoyable. Halo 3- sandtrap- veichle/anti veichle war basically and Vallhalla- again for the layout and mancannons
