Okay, so after countless hours of trying to get a cod5 beta code for free, I lowered myself to preordering a copy. Now, after two days of waiting i get this email. The instructions to participate in the Multiplayer Beta are as follows: 1. Make special note of your XBOX Live Marketplace Token provided below. 2. Log into XBOX Live with your gamer profile. 3. Access XBOX Live Marketplace through the Xbox 360 Dashboard. 4. Click 'Redeem Code'. 5. Enter your Xbox Live Marketplace Token when prompted. Your Unique Beta Code: ************************* Thank you, GameStop Customer Service. So i turn on my xbox and go to the redeem code thingy, and type in my code. It says invalid code. So i'm all like wtf and type it in ten more times. Still invalid. I recheck to see i wrote it down right. I did. Why isn't it working? I mope around the internet all day looking for some kind of way to fix this. Nobody is posting any problems, so i guess i'm ****ed. The next day i get another email. Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for purchasing Call of Duty: World at War from GameStop.com/EBgames.com. We understand there may have been some problems with codes distributed yesterday. We apologize for any inconvenience. Here is a new code to use for the beta. Your Unique Beta Code: *********************** Thank you, GameStop Customer Service. So i'm thinking, good, now this code has got to work. Guess what. It doesn't. Now I'm pissed, and not playing the beta, and I wasted my four day weekend on the internet looking for some way to fix this. Any help? EDIT: Okay I sent them an email telling them the second code did not work. This is what they sent back. Meh. I think the amount they pay you back for your games are horrible. I mean, I went to return Assassin's Creed a month later (Bought for 60 bucks) and they wanted to give me 35 for it. WTF? It's a damn month old, seriously, give me at least 45 or 50. I want to start a new company that actually gives money back.
Nah man, it didn't work. I didn't think it would since they update the codes everytime they update the beta. You can't use old codes on the newer versions of the beta.
Oh. Looks like I'm not the only one. Just got 360 COD5 beta key, "invalid, try again"? - Yahoo! Answers This really sucks.
If he sold it on eBay that'd be awesome. I mean, awesome in general, not for Zander. Problem fixed, nay?
i hope you get the code right, if no, send them lots of crappy emails telling them that they tricked you

I think that an employee used it, or some idiot decided to send out a one time use code to everybody. All I know is that it has something to do with GameStop stupidity.
