Buidling a map and gametype on foundrey. Several levels high with a Territories gametype, I want the territories to be up on the high levels to but they only go on the ground is there an advanced feature I am missing? Or do you have no control over the territories?
If you mean like how you can change the hill in KOTH to something like 30 high and 12 wide, then no. Territories do not have that option to my knowledge. I could be wrong, I haven't checked recently, but if it isn't on the territory when you click X on it, then no, you can't change it.
Almost More so how do I set where the territories are. How do you even get to a point in the editor where you can click x on a territory? Not worried about the height, I want them up high on ledges.
Ohh! How new are you to forge? That's like......really easy. Though I didn't know how to do it at first either. Press Start in Forge (possibly you may need to be in edit mode) and click "Change Game Mode" or something like that. Look for "Territories" and click it. A new round will start. Now go to the "Objective Objects" Section, which is like going to 'Scenery' or 'Vehicles'. Spawn Territories and move them where you want. If you press X on a territory (or any objects) while in edit mode, more options will come up. That help?
Yes that's exactly what I needed to know! Thanks! I am pretty new I have made maybe 3 four maps just never with a territory game type. Sweet I will post this map when I have the beta done I think its gonna be allot of fun. Unless someone has done this already which I have not seen.
Not only that, but sometimes there are already territories placed on the map. Make sure you delete ALL of them, or just use a canvas that already has them deleted. To make sure that there are none on the map, press x and the list of objects will come up. Press over until you get to the objectives list. Then, click x on the territories and it will tell you how many placed on the map.
