Brandon Crisp, a 15-year-old Barrie, Ontario native and avid gamer, has been missing since October 11. Crisp stormed out of his home shortly after his parents, afraid for the teen's social well-being due to his proclivity for Call of Duty 4, took away his Xbox 360. Since Crisp's disappearance, several groups have made major efforts to try and locate the teen -- including Microsoft, who donated $25,000 to a reward fund for anyone with information on Crisp's whereabouts. Following the suspicions of Crisp's parents, the cyber crimes unit of the Ontario Police are now turning to an unlikely source for leads -- Brandon's Xbox Live friends list. Fearing that one of his clanmates might have something to do with his disappearance, police asked Microsoft to breach their own privacy protocols to reveal the personal information of Xbox Live subscribers that frequently associated with Crisp. When I eventually have a child they will not be playing any violence related games at the age of 15 nor will they storm out of my house cause I'd grab them by the hair and drag them back in. I'm saying that I am very protective over the things that I love. The parents did the right thing by taking away the xbox, but let the kid run away. I feel bad for the parents and the kid. Hopefully he is staying at a friends house.
Hes not, they asked all of his friends, and none of them know where he is, they said he wouldn't stay out this long without calling. As well, they found his bike in a ditch. It's sad to see people blaming this on online gaming, though most people on CoD are pretty big douchebags lol. It's nice of microsoft to donate that money, though they are only doing it to protect their image. Honestly, this kid must have problem past xbox, and is probably into outside related things like drugs. Lord knows if his disappearence has anything to do with XBL.
So let me get this straight His parents took away his xbox So he stormed out of the house, he hasn't been seen in 17 days. I'm pretty sure something bad would have happened to him by now. Even if he was a pretty resilient kid (Seeing as he ran away because his parents took his xbox I would assume not) he would have returned pretty quickly. Where would a 15 year old manage to spend 17 days with enough food to make him not consider turning back as well as having enough sneakiness to not get noticed by anyone.
He wouldn't thats the point. What police/his parents think is that he took off to one of his XBL "friends" who turned out to not be who he thought they were. This is plausible, though as equally plausible that hes safe with an XBL friend (though I'd move for the former). Honestly, I think he was into some outside of xbox things (drugs, whatever who knows), and got into trouble involving those people, rather than XBL. Still, I hope they find out what happened soon, it's a sin to see this happy, regardless of who anyone believes is at fault.
$25000 for info? err... yeah... i saw him I agree with the guy above me. Someone posing as someone else on CoD4 has probably invited him round. I hope he's alright. If something happens to him, all our parents will get all worried and take all our Xboxes away...
$25,000? Yah, uh...? he's at my firends house.....? Nah JK Wow, that kid must be addicted to Xbox Live. I mean, yeah I would'nt like it if my mom/dad took away my Xbox 360 but he ran away....? Still, everyone who like's CoD 4 is a n00b because most of them brag/boast if they're on their 10th Prestige or they do glitchs to get outside maps. I hate CoD 4 but my little brother plays it, that's why if you compared games with me you'd find some gamerscore but I only play it for the Achievements. The kid will hopefully be found in a few days and not end up like Madelian McCann. (Hopefully) He'll just run back home probably saying he got abducted by aliens or he was with Big Foot up in the mountains or something. Lol
I saw this on the news. It`s pretty ironic, considering that because his xbox was taken, he ran away, then microsoft(caused the problem by making xbox) stepped in to "help". Pretty unique story.
if that happened to me id be pissed for a few hours then id get over it and somehow manage to get it back. ima be lookin for that 25k reward.....
I bet hes hiding behind Child Services waiting for the right time to go in and say his parents took away his Xbox... or... He could be running across fields trying to get to Bungie/Microsoft so he can get them to sue his parents... LOL
wat a spoiled kid. his dad was the one who was doing the right thing. if i were his dad i would be very sad to have such a kid.
Hmm that's really weird .. If he stormed out he could be hiding anywhere! I hope they find the boy before it's too late.
hes probably hiding in like the woods or at some abandoned house, sneaking into his house to get food and stuff while his parents are out. i dont think anyone would be dumb enough to go to someones house you found over xbl
