What priviledges to silver accounts have? In particular, can they send messages to gold members, and do they have their own friends' list? Props to anyone who can help me out.
I didn't have gold for a bit when halo first came out. So you can send messages, go in private chat, video chat and you can be on leaderboards. But you can't PLAY anything over live.
you cant send messages to friends by accessing your account online, but can while on the 360. i also dont think you can dl content off the market place. and i know for sure you cant play games on live
You definately can download from the marketplace. I think the only difference between silver and gold is the lack of playing with other people online.
Silver is EXACTLY the same as gold but without the online. You can send messages, have your own friends list, Video Chat, Get achievements, Private Chat, Buy arcade games, Download Demos, music and Films ..
Actually, on the DL thing. There are some things that you must have gold to DL. I think they did this to prevent Europeans from DLing content from the US marketplace as I can never see anything that you need gold there. If you want some proof, I think that the Tales of Vesperia demo is exclusive to gold membership.
silver sucks. all you can do is send mesages. that is what email and texting is for. you can play online on windows live with halo 2 and stuff with silver, but you need vista anyway, and its harder to connect to windows live then xbox live. plus, gold is a million times better trust me. 50 $ a year isnt that bad.
