This is a question I have had going through my head for a while. What is the best level to have someone play in Halo 3 if they are only able to play one? Ignoring the fact that they may not know the controls I have been trying to find one that best sums up the halo universe and makes them want more. Here are some of my thoughts so far by level: Sierra 117 Obviously, this is the first level and is meant to be a decent intro without overloading the player. It can be harder to navigate for those not accustomed to the levels. Crow's Nest This level is a fairly decent one. Starts to tell the overall games storyline which may be interesting. Also, it is fairly easily navigated and has familar scenery since it is a human based level. I do not feel that you get to see much long range action in these or any vehicles. Tsavo Highway The main interest towards this level is vehicles. Unfortunately, there isn't much storyline here. The Storm Fairly decent level. Not only has great cutscenes but also shows the scarab as well as close and long range fighting. Floodgate Nice short level. While it does introduce the flood it does not however, have any covenant present something that leaves a large gap in the story. But it does have an impressive storyline and cutscenes. Also, fighting is varied and not too hard to beat if played tactically. The Ark Longest level in the game. Not only is there a somewhat decent storyline present but great scenery action as well as vehicles. There are no flood present though an important part of the halo storyline. The Covenant Includes a great storyline, vehicles, varied combat as well as both the flood and covenant. Not as long as the Ark but has some better aspects. My current choice as an answer the question. Cortana Great storyline and environment but combat can be repetitive. Halo Great storyline but lacks the covenant. Gameplay can be repetitive until Guilty Spark and newer players will likely have a hard time on the final run due to undeveloped driving skills. Also what difficulty? Easy Most enemies are dead before the storyline comes in Normal Works fairly well but enemies seem fairly unintelligent Heroic Enemies realistic but deaths may occur. This may not be a bad thing though Legendary To busy dieing or hiding to care much about other parts of the game. So lets hear your thoughts on the subject!
I chose the Ark. I just thought that was a good level. I liked the intro, tells us about the ark and stuff and you get to snipe.
i would choose the covenant on heroic, because you get to use all the vehicles available in multiplayer and a lot of the weapons. plus it is just a great mission
Well, the covanant, ark, or the storm i think are great for the best level. beacause on covanent and ark you can use just about every vehicle plus there are many glitches and extra little amenaties to do on it. where as on the storm it has a great balance between switching back and forth between 1st person and vehicle 3rd person, as well as some kool things to find along the way.
All valid points. While the ark does have some storyline it doesn't seem to be enough that the player would want to come back for more. In contrast you have Halo which while the storyline makes the player want more, the gameplay isn't the best. (As it should be since it is the ending of a trilogy and thus should focus mainly on the story. I love the level though.) Then again Sierra 117 caters well to newer players, but lacks parts of the core storyline as well as vehicles.
I will have to go with the storm on heroic/ledgendary. I like the mix of long/short/vehicle fighting.
Sierra 117 or Storm on whatever difficulty depends on how nooby they are. Storm has a variety of fighting styles including vehicles and scarabs. Sierra 117 is a nice intro just allowing them to ease into the halo environment
the covenant because it is long, has TONS of vehicles/variety of weapons (splazor), you fight the covenant and the flood, and get humans and elites as allies... k????
I chose the covenant because of the epic cutscenes and the gigantic fights. My 2nd would be the storm because it feels like the last chance for survival and the last cutscene was pretty crazy too.
The storm because that is were the plot really begins to unfold. I would do it on normal if you don't really play shooting games and heroic if you have played a lot of shooting games.
