You've played the maps now what do you think? If you haven't the maps then don't vote! I still haven't played Standoff, so I'm waiting to vote till I can play.
Rat's Nest has the classic feel, Standoff has the small Blood Gulch feel, and Foundry is about you. But AZN/Titmar/Asper49/BOSS SAVAGE's Foundry is the best.
For matchmaking, I would have to say Rats nest, because it has a nice team slayer/snipers feel to it, but objective sucks on it. Another good slayer map is Standoff, although neutral assault and multiflag ctf are a pain on it. Foundry is good for forge, but not much else... sorry.
I would have to say Standoff, not including the fact that most of my Forging is done on Foundry. Valhalla to Standoff, Bungie is getting closer but they haven't quite made it to Blood Gulch yet.
Not counting foundry, which is what you make it(i highly doubt bungie actually figured people would play it standard if they had the choice) thats not to say foundry stock isnt fun, its built right. and its fun (Snipers? in that small of a area? its awesome.) but for just stock map wise, Standoff = win. Still wish there was snipers..oh well..forge can make it so!(number 1.) <.< too much star-trek.
Definately Foundry. I love foundry even when it is in default setup. Rat's nest and Standoff are fun but on Standoff especially playing CTF most people just rush across the middle and get mowed down. If you try going around the silos you still get spotted and shot. Rat's nest is fun but I personally have the feeling of nothing new.. kind of like Call of Duty 4 multiplayer
I'm going to have to go with Foundry. It's a sort of 'everything' map, because (if you have the canvas) it incorporates a 'sandbox' sort of feature that creative people love.
I have to go with Foundry and not for the outside of matchmaking features. Playing in in MM is awesome I would have to say. Compact gameplay takes a lot more skill and it shows who is actually good when you play on it. You have to have very good aim and a sense of what is happening on the entire map at all times.
Standoff cuz it's teh prettiez I really like the lighting on Standoff. Objective games are generally kind of pointless on it though. And Foundry's default is still terrible.
Foundry is the best Heroic map! Its soooo great for forge and on matchmaking heroic DLC it comes up with Foundry and everyone goes yay, seriously.
I have to vote Standoff. While Foundry is good fun as a canvas, the default setup isn't very good, and Rat's Nest just doesn't have the same charm. Standoff brings back that Blood Gulch feel in two flag CTF games, but since the bases are so close together you don't waste so much time running across open ground. The lack of a sniper rifle also keeps everyone closer together.
standoff is killer, you can't have a halo game without a map with that style of grass/earth color if you know what I'm talking about.

I actually like standoff for objective games, as long as you have a good team (basically not in lower ranked matchmaking) Foundry in it's default is good for 3v3 or 4v4 but really it's just for forging which I'm fine with. Rat's Nest can get frustrating especially if you have a terrible team, there just aren't enough good weapons to make a complete map, maybe if each side had a sniper or something...
With nothing changed, Standoff would probably be my favorite. But Foundry is obviously better once you can change things with Forge.
