THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE AN OPEN MAP V2.1 IS A MORE CLOSED IN VERSION TO THIS MAP. I MADE DIFFERENT VERSIONS - V2.o and V2.1 FOR DIFFERENT GAMEPLAY. VISION V2 CREATED 10.19.08 BY GATORSOES2 DETAILS: THIS MAP IS MADE TO BE OPEN, THIS HAS BEEN FULLY TESTED WITH 6vs6, ITS SIDE CATWALKS ARE INSPIRED BY SANSKRIT, THE ENTIRE DESIGN IS MINE, NOT ANYONE ELSES. THE VISION V2.1 HAS BETTER COVER, I MADE A V2.0 AND A V2.1 FOR DIFFERENT GAMEPLAY, IF YOU LIKE OPEN BR DOWNLOAD V2, IF YOU LIKE CLOSED IN ASSAULT THEN DOWNLOAD V2.1. THIS IS THE SECOND PART OF THE VISION MAP. I AM WORKING ON A MAP THAT IS INSPIRED BY VISION V1 AND WILL BE A PART OF MY FACEOFF MAP PACK.
I like how you made two different versions; an open and more closed in one. Very nice idea. This looks like a great BR map. I will check it out! Good job
The map design is good with great interlocking however it is not up to MLG standards. Movable objects are not allowed except for dumpsters barriers and crates which require weapon holders on top of them to keep from moving. Pallets, roadblocks, barrels and trucks are some of the things i see that are not allowed.
This MLG map is a bit blank and loads of moverball scenery that is not good i.e the barrels you should of geo merged the walls into the wall and the floor. but just out of intrest how meany houres did this take ?
My favorite part of this post is how you ripped off the download logo I made for Concussion. Real classy. MLG maps don't use movable items like pallets or barrels, either. I suggest you read the MLG Standards and Posting Rules to better understand what is supposed to go into an MLG map. This should probably be moved back to the Competitive section.
Ok, so, you're map is very open (As you know). Almost on the verge of being unplayable. It looks like you've done what a lot of other aspiring MLG map makers tend to do. And that's building 4 (5 including the middle) seperate structures without making them really flow together to compensate for gameplay. The only way to create a functional MLG map is by connecting every structure together, and using ramps to separate lower floors and higher floors. (Aside from using "skill jumps" that just hinder game play.) For example, look at your side structures. They're just kind of there. I mean, at the end of the 2 bases the platform just stops. No ramps or bridges to connect it to the side. Also, there are like 3 different jumps you have to do to get onto the single box at the top. Can you imagine having to do 3 jumps just to escape an enemy? Not me. The unlimited lines of sight make it almost impossible to escapeif you're stranded on the side with the ball or flag. And because of the lack of cover, it only hurts the gameplay more. My suggestion is bulking up the bases and sides, including adding better ways to reach the side bases and mid (i.e bridges, stairs). I know this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but I speak my mind, so fxxx me right? Cheers.
