Map Title: Demo Derby fun, fun, fun Download Map Download Gametype Description: This is a fun map where players battle to see who remains on top. The game variant "encourages" players to stay in their vehicles by making them slow and unable to do any damage. Players try to push each other off. If they succeed without falling, they get 5 points. If they push the other player off, then fall themselves, they get 0-1 point. If you fall early you can go through the teleporter and watch the rest of the game. watch the video for more info. thanks guys... it really is fun... and u dont hav to be awesome at halo to play it... but u might need to tweak the variant just a bit... i tried to make it so u dont want to leave the warthog... but people still do and that makes it not fun... so just let everyone know before u start that if u leave the warthog... ur gay... if someone does leave the warthog it turns into a big beatdown fight that nobody wins.
Unfortunately Honor rules seldom pass here on ForgeHub, so I suggest that you tweak your gametype a bit instead.
the only thing i can do is make it undesirable to be out of the vehicle... but there is no way to "force" someone to get in and stay in a vehicle. but the honor rule works with this game because, unless u stay in the warthog, its no fun... so people tend to stay in the warthog once they figure out how the game works... if u download it you'll understand what im talking about
I really like the idea, I always loved that sumo game in fusion frenzy. Also, good idea with the spectator box. My question is how the rounds end? Is it like first to a really short time in the hill uncontested? To fix the honor rules thing, u could make people really really slow and invulnerable, which would sort of help. That's the best I can think of. Nice game again!
umm the round ends when only 1 person is left in the ring... first to 5... so it ends shortly after they fall off... but rounds are only a min long so if everyon falls it wont be too long untill the next round... also i do have people really slow and invonerable which helps alot...
I have an idea for helping beating the honor rule system. First, make every one invulnerable, fast, and have high gravity. Second, scatter sender nodes and two way nodes all around the arena. Put their recievers in the viewing box. Now if people are moving around while not in vehicles they will get sent off the map, they have high gravity so they can't get around the teleporters, they are fast so if they try to dodge a warthog they will most likely get pushed into a television porter. Everyone is invulnerable so they won't kill each other, but if someone is out of a vehicle, they can still get splattered.
I liked this map, It was fun. I would suggest starting with assault rifles because plasma pistols can stall the warthogs, as well turn off starting grenades. Another thing that I noticed is that you can actually leave the hill in a worthog without falling off. if you make the hill slightly larger than the top it would fix this problem. But great idea
