NAZIs planted trees of contrasting colour in the shape of swastikas in various forests around Germany. The forest swastika was a patch of carefully arranged larch trees covering a 3,600 m2 (4,300 sq yd) area of pine forest near Zernikow, Uckermark district, Brandenburg, in northeastern Germany. The reason behind the planting of the trees is unclear, but it has been suggested that it was laid out in 1937 by locals to prove their loyalty after a businessman in the area was denounced and sent to a concentration camp by the **** Party for listening to the BBC, or that a zealous forester convinced local Hitler Youth members to plant the trees in commemoration of Adolf Hitler's birthday. For a few weeks every year in the autumn and in the spring, the colour of the larch leaves would change, contrasting with the deep green of the pine forest. The short duration of the effect combined with the fact that the image could only be discerned from the air and the relative scarcity of privately owned aeroplanes in the area meant that the swastika went largely unnoticed after the fall of the **** Party and during the subsequent Communist rule. However, in 1992, the reunified German government ordered aerial surveys of the state-owned land. The photographs were examined by forestry students, who immediately noticed the design. Those trees are racist. We should burn them. But jesus christ that's neat. Even if it is the Nazis, that was really well done.
Reminds me of this Coronado CA - Google Maps Edit; If you zoom out and look to the south-west, there are 2 buildings that look like bombers flying towards the swastika. Supposedly, this symbolises the allies bombing and destroying the swastika.
Yeah, that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread. I didn't notice those bombers before though.
The bombers are usualy taken out of the subject with that building because it removes the connotation that the guy that built the building was a ****. When if it's intended to be t he **** symbol, it's clearly being attackeed by the bombers. Not much of a bad story now is it... Lol...
This is old news. There have been YTMND's about this and it's already had news about processes of it being cut down. brb, looking through news archives. back: Naziforest.ytmnd.com I used to think that **** was the funniest thing back in the day. When I was like 12, I used to just IM this **** to my friends and even for a while was my homepage. Not to mention the song in the back is catchy. Does anyone know the name of the song? back again: After some YTMND wiki digging, the name of the song is "Heut Ist Mein Tag" by Blumchen which is directly translated into english as "Today's my Day!"
That is cool no matter what the symbol is. The swastika building with the bombers is cool also. Isn't there also the shapes of different animals and insects cut into the sand that is only visible from above-somewhere in south or central america? edit: in bolivia i believe
That's really creative yet evil at the same time. They blow up lots of land but still have time to promote that they have been there before. Man I need to do something like that...
AAAAAARgh. I say that as forgehub's official jewish guy. I hate assholes that do **** like that. Just makes me wanna go berserk on their asses. *****
those trees should be left alone to stand as a reminder of WWII. I am guessing that they will be. it takes some hard work and planning to make art out of forests.
