I cannot, for the life of me, get this to work. I have recently read the new Forging 101 on breaking the 100 or 200 or however many it is item limit on maps. According to my interpretation of the thread, once you hit the limit and Bungie's great LOL displays on the bottom of your screen, oyu are supposed to immediately save as new map, load this new map, and continue Forging.

I have tried EVERY VARIATION of this. I've tried just normal saving. I've tried doing it fast enough that the words across the bottom of the screen aren't gone before I've saved. I've tried placing the last item and waiting a bit. I've deleted one item then saved, made sure my last item was the last of an item type, or the first, or had monetary value, or was budget glitched, or wasn't budget glitched, or was a spawn point or a starting point or a flag...

I only have one theory about why it won't work... the first line of the 101 says the map must be budget glitched. Must EVERY item be budget glitched (oh noes, my forklifts aren't budget glitched. Because I totally use those...)? Does the clean budget glitch work?

I am on the final phase of my new map Prismatic Rise, and I am really pleased with how it shaped out. However, it kinda needs some spawn points. They're sorta important, so I would really like to know how to break the limit so I can plant some.
Any and all help is appreciated =)

I had a bit of trouble doing the budget glitch at first too. The thing i was doing wrong was not setting the "run-time maximum" to the max before saving and reloading the map. What i believe you've done (which has happened to me before) is maybe delete the item with the run-time maximum set as the max. If this happens, you are no longer able to get any more of that specific item. Im not sure if this can be fixed, but if you change the run-time maximum again it might allow you to use more.

Every item does not have to be glitched for it to work. I thought respawn points were £0 anyway :p. I hope that helps you a bit :S, but make sure you save backup versions just incase it all falls apart in the future. It can be a life saver.

No, the budget glitch in and of itself isn't what I'm having problems with. My map is entirely budget glitched minus the stupid forklifts that I don't need. What I cant figure out how to do is break the item limit.

The problem I'm having is when the message "Could not place item. Too many on map" appears when I attempt to spawn things. There is a Forging 101 about how to overcome this, but I have read and tried every altercation of it and I CANNOT, to save my life, get it to work. This is preventing me from adding a spawn system to my map... which I kinda need.
For clarification, I need help breaking the item limit, not budget glitching the map.
