wich is better

Well there have been lots of threads about this...I think after prestige mode one time, its boring then. I think Halo is better.

 

I think halo 3 is because it has better online and you can play on custom maps. On CoD, though, the team objective games are better, while in halo 3, the deathmatches are freaking awesome

 

I liked Call of Duty 4, but after a while it get's boring, predictable, and just plain bullshit. Halo is WAY better.

 

I greatly prefer CoD4 matchmaking but i like halo more for custom games.

 

I prefer COD4 over Halo 3. This may be because I recently got it and I'm trying to get my rank up, but both are fun and take skill to play well. I like the matchmaking in COD4 because when you loose, you don't loose your rank, but it's harder (a lot) to rank up. I've been playing for months and I haven't gotten to 55 yet... Although within the first 6 months (or so) of Halo 3 I got to Lv. 46. Since I have a high level in Halo, I don't play much.

Anyways, it just depends. I suggest you play both and decide for yourself. Right now I've worn out Halo, but I've been playing it a bit recently. I usually play what my friends play and they play COD4. Anyways, play both, we really can't decide for you.

Halo 3 always has so much to do. Campaign is fun, kinda. Co-op makes it fun by helping each other or just goofing around. Matchmaking is awesome. The multiplayer in this game is fantastic. Nothing can compare. It can be very competitive (MLG) or very relaxed (Rocket Race). Custom games are also sweet. Some many options to chose to make it funner and with forge, infinite possibilities. CoD4 dosen't posses these traits. I have both, but i play Halo.

In terms of Campaign, Call of Duty 4s rapes Halo 3s campaign sideways. Halo 3s is pathetic. The mission variaty is lacking and all they are is get to point B from point A.

Call of Dutys campaign is very good as it has very good storytelling through the President and Jackson(I think) Not to mention the Campaign changes from stealth to War and back to stealth making for gameplay that doesn't get boring. And even in those, they may give you some special ability that you can use.

Now, multiplayer.

Call of Duty 4s Multiplayer has a good concept. Badly done though. The perks are imbalanced in some cases and just plain useless in others.

Halo 3s multiplayer is beyond terrible. Bungie overpowered Melee. And it is very obvious too. Not to mention the lack of weapon variaty and you have for some god aweful gameplay.

well what i think it that it all depends on what you like, if you like a game that is sort of based on real time and history then call of duty 4 is for you.
but if you like science fiction story then halo 3 is for you.

gameplay wise, well sure call of duty 4 requires more thinking than just running and gunning, but a lot of people super perk their people up and you can't kill anyone.
halo 3 you just shoot and keep shooting until people die, unless you're sniping or hammering or swording, and a lot of people throw a lot of grenades hoping to kill someone

i got both because i just love fps and i love both series even though the old cods were about WW2, i love halo's storyline it's pretty original and if you look deep enough bungie really thought out a lot with their books and stuff.

 

I have the same issue, but I'm am settled that as far as Slayer and FFA play goes, Halo takes the cake for sure. But in CTF or Team Games, it becomes a fairly close tie, but I like Halo because of the Custom Maps and Forge options. Also I think that Bungie has a better online interface on LIVE than CoD. So theres my opinion take it or leave it.
