Charred Terrain

    What would you guys think of a map based on a city torn by battle. It would have destroyed buildings, maybe one that IS destroyable, doors to some of the buildings that could be accessed via a key (regen), and an airstrike that could be called in remotely (an item that whe you throw, fusion coils fall from the sky for 10 seconds).

    Does that sound like an interesting idea? Do you have any suggestions?

    Sounds Like a nice idea.

    But I pretty sure it has already been done so far.
    You could have like broken structures and bridges made out of boxes or crates. I like the idea of having structures that aren't breakable. But they look like they got broken. This throws the spin of aesthetics and design to your map.

    It is a great idea.

    I really like the air strike idea but how'd you pull it off? Maybe, make a gravlift spawn lifting the coils into a mancannon that sends them to the ground.

    No, it uses an equipment, when you throw it, the fusion coils outside of the map will blow up (min=half of # on the map), and the ones in the sky are forced to spawn until the ones outside of the map spawn again (aka 10 seconds). It is pretty simple.

    Yes that seems like an awesome idea but the airstrike would go on until the round ended and the door would be one use. But other than that it would be an awesome idea.

    uhhh, no it wouldn't I have made multiple use of both of them. It is all in the manipulation of the switches... nothing is impossible, unless you say "making multi-team CTF"

    That's very interesting. I always thought that wires were one-use. And how do you make a reuseable airstrike?

    A) Im not going to use wires, I am using a new kind of tech that Goats and I haven't released yet

    B) I will be using the reusable min/max, as discovered by Pmp

    I doubt that will be able to be used without lag.....

    I'll get back to you on this coyote, but now, school gotta run...

    What do you mean? Are you talking about the air strike? I will only have like 5-10 fusion coils falling, and besides, they will fall from the ceiling (2-3 seconds before explosion and respawn)...

    That sounds like a great idea. Especially the airstrike. And the regen key, is that when there is two walls with mancannons on the outside facing towards the inside. And when you throw a regen they magically bosst you up?

    No, it is a different use of the regenerator's properties. It is a new concept that we discovered on H3A.

    Wow, sounds like an awesome map, and the airstrike idea would definately make the map have that "Oh my Gah! Esplosionz from the skiez!" Effect on almost every player in the game. For the Key concept, with the regenerator, are you going to use that trick to throw a regenerator to make the mancannons work? If so, that's not a secret trick, for it's been used multiple times in many maps.

    Once again... no I am not using the concept of the regen making a man cannon activate, it is something new...

    Does anyone have any other advice as I make this map?
