I hate Youtube sometimes.... I was casually installing a theme for the first time, I downloaded a program called VISTA GLAZZ or something along those lines... it's meant to install themes so all you have to do is to move the files from winrar to the theme folder. The youtube video was a really good tutorial on how to do this process I did not look at the comments, One of them said DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE PATCH/UPDATE FOR VISTA GLAZZ, and as I was not aware of this I downloaded the update, and it rebooted my PC then, I looked at my theme it was windows 2000 classic version PFFFTTTTTT GAH! I went to change the theme, and typically it wouldn't let me into the ''personalise'' route. So, I spent 3 hours installing VISTA how cutting is that? I really wanted to install a Halo theme on my desktop... though now I guess I'm too much of a ***** to try again, I've also spent the last our installing Vista updates. Also, trying to delete the Windows.old back up folder .... Oh well, rant over. Seve. xxxxx
You realise you could have just done a system restore back to before you installed VistaGlazz. VistaGlazz creates a restore point before you install it... Which would have taken 10 minutes max to restore back to normal... Owned... BTW; How to Patch Windows Vista to Enable Custom Themes (Visual Styles) :: the How-To Geek
