Question, for the Rock Band fans. Did anybody get their Rock License in which to export songs from RB to RB2?

Ok, now anybody who has, in your library of RB2, is 'Run To The Hills' there?

My brother was playing Rock Band 2 yesterday and informed me that Iron Maiden hadn't exported. I thought this was odd so I re-exported all of the Rock Band library and this problem was still present. Anyone else running into this?

edit; not quite sure if this was the only song, but It is a favorite with me and my bro so it's one of the only recognized as m.i.a.

Sadness :[ Enter Sandman, Paranoid, and Run To The Hills. I mean why those three songs? Why not Maps? Idk why they couldn't have those three be exported, in fact Metallica and Maiden were the two reasons I wanted that rock license -.-

First off, Maps is far more fun than people want to admit.

Second, there is no confirmed reason, but there was a "leaked" pack that included a Maiden, Sabbath, and Metallica song. Said pack has yet to appear.

Third, EU loses a fourth song, Monsoon, also for unknown reasons. (It's on GHWT, but I doubt a band as new as Tokio Hotel would go exclusive)

The overall belief that these three bands were taken out of RB2 was because Activision secured the rights to the bands at one point. They secured the rights to metallica's songs for this generation of music games when they got the Death Magnetic as DLC, they got Ozzy's rights as he is a playable character in GH:WT. Now, I'm not sure about Maiden, but some believe Activision has purchased their rights as well for music games.

The absolute shittiest thing I've heard. Not saying your wrong, I have a feeling this is true. Which would be why this sucks so bad. The maiden deal makes sense, because when I DL'd number of the beast it was a cover. (**** at that) As for metallica I believe there would bbe sooo many more more of their songs up for grabs if this weren't true. Not to mention, besides their album made DLC for GH3/WT isn't there gonna be a GH:Metallica. I think these GH spin offs are ruining Rock Band, after GH: Aerosmith I've yet to see one of their songs downloadable, could be wrong idr.

Quick note, the only bands that are confirmed to be exclusive to GH are Aerosmith, Van Halen and the Eagles. RB has no exclusive artists, because that's how they roll.

the trademarks didn't carry over, all the artists were paid more except Ozzy, Metalica and iron Maiden, who didn'y agree to contract extensions, most likely because that would go against any contracts they have with Guitar Hero

What are you even talking about. I'm sorry, but they give you 84 more songs with songs like Painkiller, Panic Attack, Battery, and countless others... and here you are, complaining about not getting to play songs you have been playing for almost a year now.

Enjoy the new 84 songs and forget about the other 3. Besides, Enter Sandman is the only one I ever think about. That one had an epic drum part too.

Blah Blah, you miss them too. Already bored of Rock Band 2's set, after the endless setlist... I'm nearly sick of this game.

Lol, sure I miss them, but not enough to complain about them

And how are you sick of RB2 already? That's what DLC is for.

got the game a day after it came out. it's boring =/

    plus; dlc req. points.
    points req. money.
    I'm in the hole

See what I'm getting at here? I have my fair share of dlc right now to keep me busy.

I thought ACDC was exlusive? I think Enter Sandman is gone due to the fact it will be a major song in their metallica spin-off.

GH fails Hcore anyway. RB is much much better.

RB FTW!!! I like the drums of Painkiller and panic attack. I drum them in my mind every day. especially while forging. I don't have enough money for the transfer so I just have both discs at hand.

Harmonix has zero artists exclusive to the Rock Band series. Rush, Megadeth, A7X, Mastodon, and all the other bands that are in RB2 but not in GHWT are not in WT due to either the band themselves or Neversoft/Activision, not getting the rights or just not caring about putting them in the game.

Also, Everlong has a slightly easier version of RttH's drums. (as does Devour for Paranoid, and Maps or Pretty Fly for Sandman)
