This is my new map called (basteel) it is a simple FFA map or KOH if you want. this supports 1-6 people on it, moastly made up of 1/2 arches to get up to the 2nd level of the map, theres only 3 or 4 things on this map aren't merged or interlocked so grenades going under cover is highly unlikely, diverse spawn points so theres no camping, jump ups other then the 1/2 arches to get up to the 2nd level Bungie.net : Bungie Online : Halo 3 File Details
this map looks pretty well built if i do say so myself. i like the geomerging and the intetrlocking. Although the interlocking could use a little more work just to improve aesthetics. Also i am wondering is the hill on the second floor because it is very open and the surrounding areas look open as well which would give an advantage to the team on the hill depending on the spawns if you have good spawns and more cover than this would not happen.
I think all that you have done, is done superb, but this map still leaves a feeling of emptiness. The open corners (refer to pic #2 specifically) seem like they will severely hinder gameplay. (I know, I am in the same exact position with v2 of my map Voltage). I like the view form the bottom image, the design is unique and looks nice for a br battle. All in all, the general forge techniques are well demonstrated, and the only major flaw (my opinion) is lack of scenery. I am looking forward to a v2.
wow that looks really good. The interlocking is very well put together. What I really love is all the interlocking in the middle that looks very complicated and professional. The geomerging is very well put together that makes the map look great. i love how your map is interlocking all over. It shows taht it must have taken you a decade to make. 5/5
Very good geomerging and interlocking looks okay. The wall of fences looks a little quirish, but great idea. Though the map seems a little open too, Good job though! 4/5.
You know this map is overall good. It is clean from the angles I can see, it is new and looks fun. It has interlocking and geo-merging! The gameplay is questionable. Because, well have you tested?... also it looks open and that in a br fight it would be only br skill no map use at all. Also on top of those structures there are no pieces of cover. I would suggest for you to think about gameplay as your no.1 thing on your next map. Second would be the actual map... you have that down. Overall nice map, good post! -Irish
WOW! this is a very impressive looking map. i like the structure that you added to the middle, it has awsome geo and interlocking and is sure to influece game play. although i must agree with irish beast that more cover on top would be help full. 4.5/5 and a V2 with more cover on top would be time well spent
Wow. ShamWow! I really love this, this definately looks like a winner. I like your interlocking, very well done. The hill definately looks like someone could use it for advantageous abilities. (i.e. crouching behind it for cover while the opponent doesn't have much cover.) I definately like this map, great job.
