Could someone please tell me how to geomerge into walls? I can only do it into the floor. Either: 1. Explain how to do it using the door method. or, 2. If that isn't possible, explain the other method, cause I don't get it.
This is a greatly written tutorial and since ever I've readed this I Geo Merge almost everything when I Forge. And how do I put objects in the ground, so you only see the platfom, so it's even with the ground but you see the object?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I've always wanted to do this. I could just kiss you! Actually, I will. Get over here.
This is great and all but does this work when it comes to merging open boxes? Whenever I try to do it it doesn't work on the open boxes...
I'm pretty sure it works, at least with the door method. Not sure about the other one (it's a huge pain to do the other method). Try the door method if you haven't.
Merging on rat's nest * open boxes * I Can Merge Open Boxes on Rat's Nest as Far as You Want Them... Has anybody done this technique on Rat's Nest before? I will be posting my new Rat's Nest map soon, Wait an see what I mean.....
Actually, you can. I've done it on a map I will be releasing in about a week. You put a door on each edge (front and back), press "A" on the inside, then save an quit. This may take a few tries, but eventually, it will come out straight.
ok, im gonna calm down enough to post this, how do you push the boxes into the WALL u explained the floor but not the WALL. I Im trying to put a single box into the wall in a diamond shape (box is tilted) but it just straightens out to a square and go thru it. HELP!!!
AWesOmE i needed to know this for a foundry map im making plox&thx and to whoever figured this out... how???????
If you push atleast half of the box through the wall, most of the time it will be sucked in. Make sure your using a ton of teleporters as well. The more braces you have the less it will move around. You kind of want it to move around less, usually when it starts moving around a ton, it will start lagging the game, and try to interlock itself with braces.
Thanks for the help, I'm assuming that putting things on an angle works the same way on foundry as it does in Avalanche right with the supports to guide it into the ground at the angle you want it right?
Wow. This is gonna be huge for aesthetics. I understand how this would work at right angles, but how did you get the bridge in the ground at a slanted angle?
Great, is it possible to merge a box into the wall using doors on the side of it and then picking up the box and letting go? I haven't tried but i just wandered in case. Would you have any tutorials for making perfectly merged walls, fences, etc. merged with each other for difficult angles? i just find it hard if i want a specific pattern that (for instance) is like the shape of a cathedrals outer tower walls, but i just can't merge it all perfectly... if this would be to much of a burden to make a tutorial then i'm sorry.
I wondered how to do this... about 5 months ago. Seeing these posts made back in January, Oh how time flies. Great post Shock. Evan now it helps people forge.
