Noose by Rayzer730 Tie the Noose and Hang'em High! Noose was inspired by, thought not a remake, the original Halo map Hang'em High. This is a very small Foundry Map with 3-4 levels of platforms based around a center floating platform. Gametypes Supported (Bot included in File Set with the Map) Since the Assault Rifle is able to reach across most of this map, the default weapons are SMGs and Plasma Pistols. Though this usually sounds like a noob type of game, it actually works very well on the small map and provides quite a bit of fun. Noose Slayer Team Noose Players Required Any number of people can play on this map without getting bored, however 2-6 is the recommended amount. Anymore than that and the map may begin to feel cluttered. Weapons/Equipment On Map All weapons on this map had their ammo size and respawn time adjusted until I determined they were appropriate for this map. Also keep in mind that the map is symetrical, and with the exception of the Brute Shot and Needler the map is identical on both sides. The weapons on the list are divided evenly on both sides. 1 Rocket 1 Brute Shot 1 Needler 2 Brute Spikers 2 Plasma Rifles 2 Gravity Hammers 1 Shield Drainer 2 Bubble Shields 1 Overshield 4 Spike Grenades 4 Sticky Grenades Notes The pictures shown above are not 100% accurate with item locations since some of the pictures are from games in which they were dropped after a player died. The Overshield is located between two shield walls which also serve to protect each player from getting shot as they spawn from the other side. Hammers are located behind the second level ramps. Inside the single boxes in two corners of the map are teleporters which move between each other. More photos are included within the Download link. Download Noose Map
first i'm going to say you need to embed way more pictures than that. second, i really like the idea of this map. it's quite small but it's height gives it an advantage. the overshield however may be a little overpowering in some situations while in others it's just fine. i would maybe take away the rocket launcher and one of the grav hammers because they can be quite overpowering in a small map such as this one. maybe replace them with 2 maulers that spawn on a fairly high but not too high respawn time. other than that, the map is greatly appreciated by me. good job!!
dude, the map is small, very small and there's loads of weapons like in your other map, storage, you should test the gameplay alot and ask what they think and don't take pictures out of a costum game, those are only for action shots, normal pictures that show you're maps should be done in a costum game without you beeing in the screenshot though if you prefer you can be in the screenshot, so take pictures of quiet games with no action and action in a real game on it, The Persister.
Yeah the map is i think WAY to small. (Unless you count Two Rooms.) And i wouldn't call those Shield Doors in the middle cover. And i found 5 places just in those pictures that i can get out. The design however, is kinda kewl... If it was bigger it would better, though. 2.5/5, just to filled with crap.
This map is pretty small i was thinking 1v1 or 2v2 Your best bet is to remove some of the power weapons, probably replace them with something weaker
Oops...I forgot I posted that already. Well, the one I recently uploaded was slightly updated. I admit, the map is best with 1x1 or 2x2 games....
There is not much to tell with only one screenshot. From what I can see, it apears that it lacks some needed interlocking. Based on my observations, I can only give this map a 2/5.
umm did you poop this out your butt??? it has little-no interlocking and the overshields are a bad idea to have by the spawns. also 2 hammers and a rocket launcer o such a bad spot... just sad. 2/5no dl
Um....chillax? I wasn't insulting you nor did I make a nasty comment directed at you. I am saying that the walls are interconnect mostly to keep it a very flat surface. The ramps are positioned to not cause any bumps as you hit the end, though I can flit them if people feel anal about the look of it. Now back to my question....WHAT do you suggest I interlock specifically that needs it to avoid a gameplay problem?
