This is just an Idea I have been throwing around in my mind. Just a rough idea for a very unique and ultimately fun AND challenging Forge/Custom Game battle. All the details for the rule haven't been laid out yet, but here is my basic idea. (Since I love Bungie's new Squad Battle; 6v6): There would be 2 teams of 6 players on each team. A preloaded "Avalanche" map (one that I had set up that would comply with the following), would be loaded with everyone, including me as a moderator, playing in Forge. The object of this would be for each team to construct their own base for CTF (with a certain budget on BOTH THE ACTUAL IN GAME BUDGET AND THE NUMBER OF OBJECT I ALLOW THEM TO USE. Since everyone will be playing at once, there will EITHER be no interlocking, or, if a general consent by both teams, certain times where the round would be restarted. After being tested by me (and one other person), the Multi Flag CTF variant would be used, set to 3 rounds (best 2 out of 3). Both teams compete in an all out CTF Base Warfare! Some rules would be tweaked, but this is the general idea. Anyone have any comments on this idea? Thanks!:combat: Edit: Whoops! Changed to 4v4, since Forge only supports up to 8!
I've done this before and its actually pretty fun. I usually construct my own base, but with three others from Forgehub, this would be cool. I would sign up, but I probably wouldn't be able to make it, good luck though.
sounds good and all but it would fail cause u bound to get a douchhhheeeez that goes over there limit... and u would have to count... also it would fail w/ weapon armories and such... not to mention it would prob be a pain to get it all right and things... but if u could manage it it would be fun maybe foundry tho... no... i donno...
I would love to see this work. But at the same time, I could see it going wrong in SO many ways. I would have to make sure that my....ahem...Clientele would have a good reputation, and wouldn't go around Mucking things up.
If I was going to build a base to use against an enemy, I'd see no reason to put in a way for attackers to get inside. So what are the rules for entry points? 2? 3?
Me and my friend do this with each other: Just make the most ridiculous base that is still possible to get in. Its pretty fun unless the map is just too broken.
Well obviously if ATTACKERS cant get in, that means the DEFENDERS wont be able to get their flag guy back in.
All you would have to do is set the items for each team aside and all remaining items out of reach. Then put waypoints over everyones head so it is obvious if they are going for a pile other than theirs. Also, if someone tries to budget glitch then it is somewhat obvious and all you have to do is count the objects to find out who did it. Then just delete extra objects and play! My question is weapons and base locations. This I can see many issues with. Players could potentially exploit these. I believe you could also have play 8 v 8 and have your partner that you test with and you just take 4 from each team and let them forge at the same time in different parties. Then just play both maps in succession or alternate.
I am realy loving all of these ideas being thrown around in this section of the forums. I will do this with my friends on my B-Day party and each team would be on one xbox. this sounds like fun. I will post back here with my testing thoughts of this.
