I began recreating lockout, of course named Lockin. Obviously I used Guadian, and have based the areas of Guardian to resemble parts of Lockout to the best of my ability. We'll begin on Sniper tower. Obviously this now resembles Lockout, with the proper fusion cores and the sniper rifle. The cores can be shot to have the sniper blown to teleporter side ala Halo 2. A magnum, some plasma grenades, and fusion cores. Similar to the room near BR spawn. Moving on to the underside we have plasma grenades, fusion cores, and a plasma rifle. Again, very similar to halo 2 What was once the mauler is now a Needler with some plasma grenades. Continuing to under neath lift we have of course dual SMGs The lift to Sniper tower now contains the precious sword (you can make a jump from mid to sword if lined up correctly, similar to Halo 2) Shotgun remains in the green room, but now has fusion cores nearby, similar to Halo 2. On top of the tree we have a Lone Battle Rifle, taking the lift over to active camo side we have Another Battle Rifle and some more fusion cores. And, in the middle we have a plasma rifle with fusion cores. There's some more slight weapon placement changes on the map. This was actually the first map i made, i just now made an edit to it. and found this site so i decided to upload it and see what you guys thought.
Queued for download. I can't wait to try this out- will this map work with 1-Sided CTF like in Halo 2?
Yeah, are all the objective gametypes set up Lockout style? I've never played much of Guardian, and was wondering if they were already set up like Lockout (Flag & bomb spawn points/placement points, etc). Queued anyways. ~Jakester1024
I haven't played anything except oddball and Slayer on Guardian. I would imagine the positions are set preset up as close as it could be. Since all that stuff was in logical positions anyway.
I played it and I like it except for one thing, you left 3 old weapon spawns in there. Brute spiker, plasma pistol, and AR. Other than that it's awesome. 4/5
Well I think having a few new weapons will make it feel fresh. as for the plasma pistol I left that there because we can all appreciate the "noob" combo now that it doesn't home in and theres a delay in switching to BR.
Mm...delicious. This is a really well-made map. The attention to detail deserves much more merit than the fourth page of this forum. I recommend this to all Forge Hubbers (Hubbees?). Use this as an example for recreating something...it's all about detail, detail, detail!
Weapons layout is nice, but it's a shame you have to use the geometry of Guardian, because it is far from what is truly Lockout.
The Lockout on Foundry might be more like the one from Halo 2, no offense to the maker of this map, but you could completely remake Lockout on Foundry and the map here isn't exactly the same.
looks great, i especially like how it wasn't made in foundry, that map has been way overused for map remakes and its only been a few days, some are good though, i just like to see the maps that came with the game used.
