I don't think werem1dget really posts around here anymore (he never really did) -but you should send him an inv as well. Next time I see him on I'll tell him what we're doing.
Have we got a schedule as to whom will get it when? Me and JAY have called shotgun on spawns and weapons. So Me and JAY want(or perhaps will) do the set up for gametypes, the spawns and weapons. If that is alright with you guys.
I think we should all start out making a rough draft of our set pieces now and then we can go around looking at each other's. we should really have a feel for the overall map. i'm just afraid that it wil look really random and with no flow. Also, i think that linubidix and jay should be responsible for spawns, weapons, gametyps and junk since that takes a specialist which i think they are.
Yeah, Linu and JAY can do that, and I can't invite people, but I'll see if Bloumbas will invite you guys. And, yes Blazen nite, we need to layout the map. This is who still needs an invite: Blazen nite Whats a scope Vorpal Saint
Let's just throw it together, try our hardest to make it match up. Then we can have a few people run through and fix up and add things that don't quite fit. Add some uniformity. I just don't want to hinder some of these creative minds because of concentrating on how it all matches. We pick the strong noticeable aesthetics and spread it around.
if you try to plan it all out, you're more likely to fail. each of you needs to use natural common sense and instinct to work off of the others work to make the map flow. let their work guide yours. you've got a quite talented bunch. dont hinder them by drawing up some lame layout.
Yeah, it would actually be too organized... something might change in the middle, so we should be open to ideas. Thanks Silence and Corduroy.
ive been out of school too long to remember what in my sentence was a verb. lol btw, you guys should look into Deathtoll77, hes good.
hmmmmm... I make puzzle maps, but I make a pretty mean custom too. No one said anything about it having to be competitive, lol. JK I just haven't gotten around to making a super-amazing competitive map yet.
I don't think Bloumbas is allowing anyone else to join because we already have 15 people working on the map. You'll have to ask him if you can join, but I don't think anyone that's not already invited can join now. Sorry.
Yeah, like tsb said. In basic: Go with the flow. See what the person(s) have done before you and ponder on what you want to do for as long as you think you'll need and then build something... take a look around it and if it doesn't look as good as thought then delete it and do something else (until you've got something that'll stick). I guess for me it was pretty easy since I was the first...
We got like 15 people working on the map itself [one doubles as a weapon guy] and then 1 person doing spawns/gametype. we're now set in stone on our order, whos working on it, and everything. It's already reached out second guy. We've given each other a budget and all, so that we dont screw up. I recommend organizing this info as well. Its important that you guys match up as closely as you can in member numbers and how you go about making it. I recommend a competitive map set up for ALL gametypes. I will give my reasonings later.
GD27BlueDevil, I couldn't forget the maker of Code Impulse now can I? EDIT: I just realized I started the most popular contest on Forgehub right now. Yay! lol.
