okay after reading the post there was something that really caught my attention... the guy said that we would be able to take vids on our xbox and then we could simply upload to our computer or Render Video as a WMV file... w/ no use of a capture card... I NO EPIC WIN... i was like yes cause i was really close to buying a capture card... but now i wont have too... only problem is there is questions about what the quality will be like....??? but still that should be cool.... um u can read at Bungie.net
Yeah, its a really good idea. Now I really want to get Bungie Pro, due to the lack of a Capture Card, and I'm dying to make a Montage. *Cue Music* Montage... Gonna make montage...
Ya, I would say that I want to know how good quality is, if we can DL as .mov, and also, if it will finally let us record like taking the reticule off in first person. For machinima that doesn't really matter though. Good news.
they said you can chose the quality and that it'd be a WMV. i can imagine it'd be pretty crystal clear... whether or not you can leave first person and turn off the HUD is another story.
ya those r good points i hope it is high quality... i think this will get alot more ppl to DL the bungie pro... i really can't wait to finally make my own movies for my maps... and i have big ones coming.. but also make montages and veiw mored of other ppls things... only prob is this kinda sucks for ppl who bought cap cards... tho it will be higher quality and can be used for any games... but hoe well im Xcited
Bungie is working on a way for Bungie Pro subscribers to download Halo 3 file share videos into a .wmv onto their computer. Hopefully, this is HD.
Finally, if this is true I'm going to have a ton of extra space for all the maps and gametypes I want.
Ya, it's great. Oh wait, no it's not...I mean, cool, they're saving money for the hundreds/thousands of people who don't have a capture card, yet, but I think no one here has recognized what this will do as a whole. I mean, for starters, being someone who owns a capture card, and put the money into it, this is kind of upsetting, but regardless of that, now just anyone can upload to youtube. Does no one recognize how that is a bad thing? I mean...there is going to literally be a number of shitty halo videos to where it'll be hard to find anything good. Ah, the good ol' days when you could barely find a quality map over bungie forums...oh wait...we're still there...in those days...wait, they weren't good days...****, why does bungie love ****ing with its community so much?
well i agree in alot of ways... yes if u bought a CC got semi screwed u still have WAY better quality just asuming here bungie has ****ed everything else up some asuming poor quality and u can still CC other games if u play them... and about the vid... seeing as how youtube is part of google im sure their server can take an extra .02% more vids if thats wat u meant and... wasnt FH pretty much started to seperate the TERRIBLE maps from the decent-great ones... i mean not to often do we get overloaded w/ FIREWORK shows like bungie does... i think FH will weed out the crap vids and be left w/ the better ones tho i do see ur frustration if u bought a CC which i believe u did cause u made the vid for Blaze is God and some1 whos name i cant remember... lol SORRY
Shitty Halo 3 videos uploaded to Youtube are already available on Youtube en mass with people filming their screens.
You have to have a camcorder for that. I don't have a camcorder. How many people have a camcorder? How many people are about to be given the ability to do this? Exactly.
Cant beat TEX at a debate man lol might as well give up.... lol... i agree youtube will be filled w/ **** videos... but isnt it already lol... and ya maybe giving ppl the power to make vids for free is dumb but FH is a beast and it will give us the good ones and leave YOUtube to have the bad ones... poor utube :<
Almost everyone has a camera these days. Cameras record video too you know.. And if they don't have a camera, they might even use their cell phone as a video recorder. Anyways, it won't be a problem, mainly because kids probably won't be able to even get Bungie Pro, which is required for downloading the videos to your computer.
Cost of Bungie Pro < Cost of Video Camera Unless you are smart and barter...but not a lot of people on the internet are smart...
