Spartan City (Version 2) Created by Joony Joon (Co-created by ScoobyRex02 & Eck0phile) Supported Gametypes: All gametypes supported. Map Description This is an updated version of Spartan City (Here's the thread for Version 1, no longer in my file share). The map consists of 8 "buildings" and a series of connected walkways that make up a second level. There are Man Cannons behind the two opposite rear buildings that serve as elevators to allow for traversing the rooftops, as well as a teleporter at center ground level that leads to the Rocket spawn at the top center of the map. Many of the changes made to this map consist of both aesthetic alterations and gameplay tweaks: cleaner interlocking of scenery objects and partially revised design (more options for climbing the second level), adjusted weapon respawn times and placement, and overall weapon and equipment balance adjustments. this map looks very well built the bridges are interlocked pretty good too. im not sure i see any geomerging but who cares. good post and nice map 3.5/5 Also if i may suggest if you point the bottom of the double boxes out than it makes for a more aesthetically pleasing map. And for competetive maps they mostly only have 2 types of grenades used either frags and plasmas or frags and spikes. so if i were you i would choose on of these nade combos and stick with them. (lol nade pun) and firebombs are usually not used in competitive maps either just fyi
Thats really nice, the interlocking is EXTREMELY smooth,and a spartan city too, it seems like it can be used for various gametypes, thats good! overall, i really like the map, its very useful 4/5
the bridges could be interlocked a little bit higher (theres to much of a bump from the bridge to the box) otherwise, its pretty good, nothing to great aesthetically, but the gameplay looks good, 3.5/5
Clean Interlocking their. Map looks very very very neat and well made. Probably worth a download. Ill DL and give more feeback, but my first opinion is that this looks really clean
This looks like it should be the default Foundry map in Matchmaking. It's simple, yet it provides competitive gameplay. Firebombs may not be good for this map though, considering it's fairly small size, and a power drain would add to this map greatly. =)
The interlocking looks really nice. No geo-merging but oh well, gameplay looks sound. Nothing that stands out to me and make me say 'Wow, aint seen anything like that before' A solid map 4/5
I agree i think that you should add a power drain and maybe a regenerator or something. but i like the map.
I call a bet, THAT THIS MAP WILL BE FEATURED, TEN BUCKS!!! Anyone wanna second that bet???????? I mean look at it, its merge perfectly, the bridges are so eye catching and the gameplay is amazing!!!
dude this is the best map ive seen all week the interlocking is very clean and the weapon placement is awsome however try to use only 2 types of grenades. although i dont think it will be featured IT SHOULD. i will definitly dl.
i dont think it will be featured... i do however say: really nice job on this map. I love the look of it, how it looks really dense and fun... but i dont like the fact that its symmetrical, simply because it doesn't seem so complicated. but very nice job, 4.65/5
I remember seeing V1 of this and I didn't like it much, I think it looked too messy for my taste (which is weird because normally I like messy). This version, however, is amazing. Great job on polishing the map on V2. My opinions on the last map were just that it looked a bit cluttered (from the pics), so I didn't post, but this one looks great (from the pics) Downloaded.
You did a good job! The map layout is awesome! But on the Bridge Walkways, there looks like little bumps in the Boxes... I don't know if that is a problem or not (Probably not), but other than tat it looks like a good map! The centre structure looks well-forged, and i think you should use that idea in another map! 3.5/5, mainly for the Centre structure. Ill try it out!
Thanks. The merged bridges and boxes do have a slight bump when walking over them, though it's nothing that stifles gameplay. I won't be adding power drainers or regenerators because the equipment set works well as is. They are now. Firebombs are fun. And I don't remember ever reading a rule that says one can't use more than two types of grenades on a map either, but it sounds like bullshit to me unless someone can reasonably explain why.
