So I recently just found this old Sony MHC-1600 CD Player with a dual cassette player. (around the era of 1980-1990, my mom bought it before she even met my dad)It's so old, that it doesn't come up in google searches. It's loud and rattles my entire room and I haven't been able to get it up to full volume yet because my mom and dad will yell the minute it even starts to get loud. It seems pretty sophisticated for something that comes back. The wires that connect the cd player to the speakers are wires i've never seen before, but besides that everything seems pretty sophisticated. It doesn't have a digital radio tuner, which is a bit of a bummer when I want to listen to the radio in the morning, but other than that it's pretty spot on. It's got this little digital screen (only two colors, white and red) but besides that looks great. It lets you store up to 5 custom EQ settings and comes with some standard ones as well. I haven't gotten a chance to test out the cassette player (because I don't have any cassettes anymore, there somewhere in my house or shed, and i'm a bit lazy to search up through years and years of antiques to find a couple of cassettes) but is pretty good. Theres a significant amount of bass if you tune the EQ right and the sound is pretty good. But it's such a crunk little machine. and i want to know about all of your super old electronics dudes. wut do u listen to wen u liek to party
Music. And I listen to it on my shitty harmon/kardon speakers that came with my computer 3 million years ago. We have an awesome setup in the living room but I'm too lazy to make CD's because I don't have the cables for an iPod to be used.
Well, my dad has huge ass mother ****ing speakers all over the basement connected to a CD player so lets see how loud I can play YAHHH ***** YAHHH on it.
Well in my "man room" as it is some times called I have 7.1 Sony surround sound speakers with an iPod dock. And I can use my 360 and PS3 to play CDs. And I also have AM/FM and satellite radio (I don't actually have the satellite radio setup). In my car I have the BMW premium sound with a headphone aux. jack, satellite radio (this one actually works), am/fm and a CD player. Then I built a speaker that is 5 ft. by 2.5 ft. that is basically a wall of sound. Then all of the downstairs is setup with speakers (including the patio) and the family rooms speaker (they are part of the downstairs system) are 5.1 when the rest are turned off. There are a total of 7 rooms in that system. Then I have some nice 2.1 Creative speakers I plug into my laptop in my room.
Good lord, Grif, sounds like you could cause some serious noise pollution in that house if ya wanted to lol. Well I don't have anything fancy in my house, my family room has like 4 or 5 of these old as dirt speakers that still play like a dream wired to our stereo, which I have somehow managed to be able to hook my iPod up to. When my mom and dad aren't home, I give the neighbors fits (not really, because I like 'em too much).
I use a bose sound dock (Nothing beats quality for bose, so if you're thinking of getting new speakers, save some extra cash, and get bose) That and I have some pretty ancient Bose speakers (Real wood on them ;D) I can play that, they are hooked up to my tv, that is hooked to the xbox.
