Hell yeah, I'm a PC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi1se9rH7S8Well, Microsoft is one weird company. So you've probably seen at least some of the new Microsoft commercials, ranging from the ones with BG and Seinfeld at a shoe store, and the I'm a PC, and I've got a beard, ones. But, what the heck do these mean? I can understand that the I'm a PC ones are trying to fight back against the Mac vs PC Macintosh campaign, but the ones involving BGates and Seinfeld make almost no sense. None, at least that I can understand. Let's take a further look into this: Microsoft has cashed in over $300 million dollar campaign, and it better be good, or they're wasting a bit of money, dont you think? It's been said Seinfeld alone was paid $10 million dollars for this. And for what? Well, I can't really imagine... I have a PC, and my entire family has PCs. I grew up on a Windows 95, then a 98 for ages, then a Millenium. I got this Vista last year, in Thankgiving, and I love it. I don't see why people hate it, because I've never had one problem with it. That's right, not one. Works perfectly for all my needs, and I know how to use it fully to my advantage. I guess most people don't see Vistas that way... But how in hell is that going to change with these commercials? Are they trying to change the popular image that has stuck to people's head about Microsoft? Are they preparing for some sort of new software, a not fake Mojave? Were they just trying to get us talking? Because they most certainly got that one. So, please, tell me what you think about this, because I couldn't be more confused. links: (I recommend watching some of these, they're kinda funny) I'm a PC vid Gates Seinfeld Ad 1 Gates Seinfeld Ad 2 Windows Mojave
there is another thread going how these adds were made on Macs http://www.forgehub.com/forum/off-topic/37604-those-new-im-pc-ads.html I find this very hilarious
Im using vista on my new laptop and i love it. I dont see why people complained. Ive never had an issue.
i hate pc's .the interface is not complex but it is annoying (my opinion) plus i have a mac(if you didn't already guess.) and i have had it about a year and a half. no problems. only 5 virus and those were from programs i downloaded that were meant for a pc,but to get back to the issue at hand i think that vista is a good operating system ,yes it has its bugs but nothing to ***** about . it would like to see something new so people will stop bitching and just enjoy there ****ing computers.
I think he is referrring to the generalizations that have gone viral. You need to look no further than the mojave experiment to see that really most of it is based on what other people say. and yes, i agree with him. Really, at the end of the day, Macs and PCs arent really that different. Its amazing because the only difference is the operating system. I can get a core 2 duo in both and i can get 4 gigs of ram in either. People who ***** about "oh, that operating system is better" or "oh, i dont like this OS," its like, get real. People complaining about vista who have never used it is so so stupid.
It's strange that Microsoft has the weird commercials when Apple has the weird, weird, psychotic founder. Have you seen that guy? I mean, Bill Gates is a nerd, but this Apple dude is just creepeh.
I'd much rather have a PC even with all the viruses and such because I myself, don't like the way Mac's interface looks. And even then, the things I use a computer for, a mac wouldn't be my choice.
Pwnt. I don't play computer games though, to be honest. I like console games better. idk... Just personal opinion. Takes away too much space in the computer anyway.
I think I'll never forget this line. Especially seeing how I play games on my computer. Too bad I don't have my beast yet, not until this thing dies...
I'm glad this hasn't turned into an anti-mac rant thread. I am a mac, and I thoroughly enjoy it. My only real beef with these commercials is that they are making these commercials without real information and not addressing vista's problems.
This really sticks it to Apple for being a ****. (Please note I am on one of my many Macs right now, seriously)
