I'll keep this simple: I have a map. It requires three teams; two attackers, two defenders, and a third party, the judge. I have start points for all three teams already on my map. How does the game determine who is in which team? I thought it was colors, but no matter what color team I switched to, I always spawned in the defender spawn point. Does it automatically assign teams, or...What? I'm confused.
there actually are more than just attackers and defenders. There are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, , and 8 teams to choose from that way you could make 8 teams if you wanted
I am pretty sure that Red and Blue get Attackers and Defenders, but I am not positive. Someone will have to verify that. For the other teams, it will randomly assign it (again, not positive, but that is what I have seen).
I think if there are Blue and Red teams, they get the Attacker and Defender spawns and the rest get the other ones. But if there is only one or two teams, no matter the colour, they will spawn on the Attacker and Defender spawns. Your test may have been flawed because you were the only one playing, hence you were "allowed" to spawn on the Defender start point
RED are the attackers BLUE are the defenders as for more than 2 teams just set the respawnpoints/areas to the team you want REMEMBER ctf and assault only have attackers and defenders not 3rd or more teams, have you ever seen a green flag? Try looking at the default maps spawning system try to reverse engineer it I know standoff has default settings for multi team Also you WILL need 1 person per team to test
