    I know i'm gonna sound a fool....
    But anyway....
I have a whole load of film clips that i've recorded over the months of hilarious and amazing moments in halo... i feel like puttig a video up of them all put together on youtube or whatever but the question comes to mind, How The Hell Do I Do It!?!
I'm not really the best with computers but i kick ass with a 360... not a good match because i have no free space on my halo account for all these video clips....
What i would like is somebody to explain what i need to do and what i would need to get my clips and videos onto my computer to produce a montage.....just put it to me straight and simple please....
I have Windows XP Home Edition
    Any Help????

Or you could go spend a bit more money for a good capture card, that will last. Pinnacle is my perferd capture card of choice.

Unlike the ones timmeh posted. I mean come on those are scatter all across ebay for a few bucks. They gotta break easy.

Actually, no. Strangely enough it works well and works for a long time. Cheap I may be but stupid, no, I did my research, I always do. The only downside to it is that since you aren't paying around $200 (Pinnacle averaged $175 when I searched just now), the quality isn't as good. However, since YouTube requires mediocre quality to keep file sizes down, I'm not too concerned about it. Oddly, the Pinnacle one got 3/5 stars on amazon, not bashing it but I wonder why... it looks good to me, I just have a hard time affording anything like that with no allowence or job... yet..

[EDIT]: Almost forgot, there is one other common issue, if you record for much over 30 minutes straight, the audio get laggy. All you have to do is stop and restart the capture and it works again. There is supposed to be a work around but I haven't found it yet, something about forcing the sound to speed up on occasion to keep up with the video.

Not trying to bash it, sorry if I offended you or something, I was just providing a good, cost-effective alternative. Also, no offense but barely anything looks good on YouTube, especially when you maximize it. However, I don't doubt that it has better quality, in fact I would be slightly worried if it didn't, if you expect the best quality from a plug-n-play, $25, video/audio capture devise, you need to do some serious research...

Well, capture cards I'm not too sure about, so I won't try to help you install one so I can't get blamed for trashing your computer, I came close enough to that myself trying to install a second oppreating system on my external hard drive a couple of days ago... Anyways, I would talk to Penguinish about actual capture cards, as he appears to know what he's talking about, other that that, the EasyCap I linked to plugs into a USB outlet and pretty much installs itself. It also comes with some simple cap and edit software.

Yes, the Dazzle 90 (the red one) is the best for your money, IMO. It's made by Pinnacle.

You can, unless you want to record anything other than halo, and don't mind waiting a while. Great free alternative though :)
