I have no audio here! What did the trailer say?

The visuals didn't really reveal too much...

Nothing, just explosions and computer noises. I think it looks like Chiefs ship crashing into that planet maybe, although one of the boxes at the start says traxus.

More to note on Sandbox: There are achievements for doing X on Multiplayer Map Y (shotgun spear on citadel), for all the named maps except sandbox. There is no multiplayer achievement for Sandbox :)

Yeah that definetly probably means Sandbox is going to be empty forge map since there is no Multi-player achievement.

I hope it's completely forgeable. I think it'd be cool to have different palletes; e.g. Foundry walls, Traxus boxes, barriers (Avalanche/CS kind), things like that. I hope Sandbox really is as good as it's hyped to be.

I think i have found it guys. Could this be the map? I found this screenshot in an official bungie video.

Not only does it reveal this completely open map at the end of the video it shows that we will have control over some kind of bot on previous maps. Im really excited.

It was explained by Bungie to be the acceptance video for Machinima or something, not bots.

And the grid-map thingy is supposed to be an internal-build of a map.

Are you sure about that Nemi? I know they said there wouldn't be bots of any kind in multiplayer, but I never heard them once say anything about that being an internal build of a map. That's a pretty weak internal build if you ask me....and bungie isn't known for showing something when its that early in developement. I really expect this to be a new foundry-like map.

..should i state that the skulls normally are only on campaign? like in halo two when you played as arbiter, isn't this just going to expand the halo 3 campaign playing as the ODST?

like the mercenaries in resident evil 4,
or anything else of that sort.

it wouldn't shock me if all the new maps are campaign levels that are doubled as multiplayer levels. who knows what the new halo 3 thing bungie has is.

    (
they are rinsing and reusing old names; Heretic is the first level on halo two, where you get your amour tested and go in the train with johnson [ when i first read to get the skull on that level, I quickly popped in my halo two game and got the cow bell skull....sadly as you all guessed nothing had happened U_U ] )

    and you can and do
    get medals on campaign.
    ...the ODST drop pods...

    "get ready to drop"
odst are the "Hell troopers", the ones who drop into the fire (literal and metaphorical: they would drop into hell's fire if they were ordered to. They drop[ right into the battle of the covenant: into enemies fire)

EDIT: all my previous info stay true, but they are two separate things completely. Map pack is a multiplayer map pack, which is going to have a new forge level, and the video is ONE of the projects that they are working on. the video showed this particualr project is related to Halo 3, and you will be playing as ODST ( "get ready to drop" )

Hmm it seems fishy to me, and it doesnt seem to me like bungie would post a video of a "internal" map or whatever and when he throws the plasma the guy even says "I cant believe I am even showing you this right now"

soooo makes me wonder thats all.

Yeah, I am not holding my breath for anything good, but I hope that we will get what we deserve, and maybe not dull colors lol...

I think he was more saying saying that we're getting the same forge with a more functional map as opposed to a real map editor. We're still going to be placing objects, but it could be on that giant blue grid (hopefully)

And it does appear that he lied to the interviewer, although no one has any idea what the prepare to drop thing actually is.
