    One of my favorite things to do in halo is play CTF. I see a lot of people making a lot of cool maps, but none of them really focus on CTF. I wanted to make a map that strives on CTF gameplay.

    Overview Inside the base look
    One of the hardest things about making this map was getting the two bases completely identical. There are still some uneven parts, but they are too small to even notice when you are playing, and they do not give any specific team an unfair advantage.

    Middle area view
    The middle area is very simple. It's wide open so it can be difficult for a flag carrier to make it across without proper defense. There is one ghost place a little further back then what you see in the image. Behind the ghost are two sniper towers. In between these towers you can find a rocket launcher and a sword. The rocket launcher can be reached using a few different ways. The sword can only be reached with a gravlift, found on the opposite side of the towers in the middle.

    Sniper Towers
    One of my favorite areas of the map are the sniper towers. The only way in or out of the sniper tower is through a teleporter found just outside of the tower, in your teams base.

    Inside base flag view
    The flags, as you can see, are located at the very top of each base along with the capture points. The only direct way to the flag is to the right of the red man in the above photo, you must jump across to the platform in the picture shown below.

    From this platform you can get to the top from that bridge you see. Of course there are a few other methods of getting to the flag, but I'll leave it to you to be creative.

    Lower base area
    Bottom area is pretty simple. Most of the weapons in the map can be found in the lower base area.

    This active camo in the middle is possible to reach... I won't say how because I think it's more fun if you can figure it out on your own.

    I did use a little bit of interlocking where needed, but I tried to not go overboard with it. I know you all love interlocking and geomerging and how great things look, but my main focus was CTF gameplay. It would be much appreciated if everyone downloaded my map and played it for a little bit so I can know what you all think. I'd like to hear your suggestions on what you would have liked to see differently.

    Please, no double posts. Clogs up the server, angers mods, and confuses peeps.

    Otherwise, good merging and over-all gameplay. Looks nicely integrated and well-thought out. keep up the good forging.

    nice build lots of interlocking that is good... layout seems pretty fun... maybe add like gun holes if u no wat i mean like ====== where u cant jump through if u duck ur safe... that would help... nice map i love it good work maybe make it shorter but still to scale if u no what i mean but this is really good i would DL but im fullz but i rate 4/5 nice work on this... keep em' coming

    looks quite nice from a ctf stand point. i would make a v2 with as much interlocking and merging as possible. maybe if you have enuf money left you could turn the 2 sniper towers into 1 and take out the teles and add a elevator.
    looks clean so thats a plus
    all i can say is i wont dl because its not a really complex map from the pics and it looks really simple

    Flat broke I'm afraid. You are right it isn't very complex. I wish i had used the money glitch because I would have liked to add more things. However, complexity doesn't make the map bad. Ever play temple of atlas? That's the most complex map I've seen but I thought it was the worst map I've ever played. I think if you start to get to complex, it takes away gameplay points. But that's just me.

    congradulations. i havn't seen a great CTF map in forever good job i love it
    i like how the sword is out of reach. it really makes it balenced

    Pretty good job on the map. The layout is interesting. I like how you have the bridges in a ring in the bases. There are some cool structures too. The only thing is there seems to be a little too much open space in the center by the ghost. Good job on the map.

    Aaargh, why, I was just about to post a map like this, with an open area, and sniper towers, but I still might. Anyway good map I luvz the interlocking and basic setup of the map.

    This map is very interesting. Its great that you only used interlocking when it was necessary. I like that it doesn't look much like anything else. What I don't like is the lack of cover in the middle area. Also, on the inside base flag view I see major bumpage, that will negatively impact gameplay. Overall I really do like this map but I see some sloppiness and a central area that is way too open. I suggest that you create a version 2!

    Thanks for all the positive replies. Zebu, I agree with you about the middle and I would love to make a v2, but I'm at $0 on this map.

    that sucks your at $0. Maybe you could delete those barriers and use some geomerged boxes as cover or you could just put a bubble shield over there so snipers don't overpower the map. Good luck with balancing out and improving this map!

    I liked the idea, maybe make the no mans land in the middle a bit larger and the bases a bit smaller, and some cover and this map would be perfect

    I did play on this map and it is good times all around. The bases are well thought out and provide easy access to the flag spawn, while at the same time leaving you pretty open to attacks. Teamwork is a must, as it should be with any good CTF map.

    The only thing that would make this map better is if you could add more to it, little things like small cover areas or structures to fill the map out a bit, however I see that you used the entire budget.

    I highly recommend a download to anyone looking for a great competitive map.

    19 downloads? Hm... maybe my newest map will have more success when it is done.

    Looks like a good map, gameplay looks fun on this exscpecially with maybe 2 flag. But you really need to add interlocking and geomerging to your maps to allow better aesthetics, better gameplay, and overally smoother surfaces.
