    Fracticide method, a signiture tutorial
    For GIMP

Okay, so this is my first ever sig tut, and it might be a little confusing, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me, also, this sig tut is by request, and the people iv'e shown this style seem to like it.

    PHASE ONE: THE BACKGROUND
First, open a new document, I recomend 700x200 pixles to start.
Then, select brushes>Pencil sketch #2. Set to use colour from a gradient, and select a gradient to use. Fill the BG up.

Now, go to filters>distorts>ripple. Then do filters>distorts>waves.

Next, smuge the whole thing with the same brush.

For the last part of the BG, use the box area selection tool and select an area on the BG, make sure that the ends go off the sig, and that they aren't real big boxes. Use the bucket tool and fill the selected box with one colour. You can do more than box, but that's up to you.

    PHASE TWO: THE RENDER
Create a new layer. Find a render that matches the BG of the sig. Once find your render, copy the location and open it in GIMP.

Scale the render if needed. Next go to filters>distorts>mosaics. Set everything to the smallest eccept tile neatness. Maximize the neatness. Then, edit>copy>paste the tiles into the sig. Place them were the render will go. Return to your render and edit>undo the filter. Copy and paste the original render into your sig, a little to the rite or left of the mosaic tiles.

Now, smuge the edges of the tiles with the round brush. Try to follow the curvature of the render, it makes the transition look more natural.

At this point, your pretty much done, just add a border, etc. etc.

Once again, feel free too ask me questions! I made up this method by my self, iv'e never actually read another tut before, so if I did anything wrong, feel free to let me know!

    Umm, nice?

Well, good job anyway. Make sure you list all of your tools, what program you're using, and what pics you used.
