Here's a not-so-shocking surprise: The New Xbox Experience update is not coming this month. Really. It's not. Major Nelson has given the heads up that next Monday, September 29th, Xbox LIVE and My Xbox on Xbox.com will be going offline for that lovely "scheduled maintenance." Why? It's to prepare the system and network for the impending release of the new dashboard update "this Fall" ... which probably means November. LIVE will be down for up to 24 full hours, so guess what? Time to finish that setlist in Rock Band 2, or get your cybernetic Baldur to level 50 or even go outside! -Article from Talking About Games Talking About Games - Calm before the storm: Xbox LIVE Maintenance next week
BULL! SERIOUS BULL the sun burns those bastards making me go outside for once! Oh well I still have tes4 oblivion =] At any rate I still hate the look of the new dashboard I mean come on Mii's?! Avatars? seriously wtf.
The new dashboard better be ****ing awesome as I like the current one. I don't really care about the downtime, who plays video games on mondays?
Yeah, right, like that will ever happen, lol That really sucks though, but, as you said, it's a great time to work on rb2, which I never get around to playing anyway. So I guess I'll deal with it.
Yea, kinda sucks that it's gonna be down that long, I'll probably DL the rest of the Oblivion DLC beforehand to be entertained Monday, if I feel the need to play that is.
