Map names and map pack name discover through the new achievements. It is assumed that these new maps will be available 9/25 Assembly was revealed to us by Bungie. See pics on Bungie. Citadel was revealed with the achievement Pull. The Citadel is presumed to be from the level the Covenant. Heretic was revealed with the achievement Blades of Fury. Heretic is probably a small to medium map seeing that there is a sword on it. Longshore was revealed with the achievement Ghost Patrol. Long Shore is probably a large map because it has a ghost on it. Possibly a Headlong remake? Orbital was revealed with the achievement Post Mortem. Orbital is probably the map code named Moon Base Alpha. Sandbox was revealed through the achievement Sandbox Skull. This may be the completely empty map as shown at the end of Bungie's acceptance video from some Edge award. This could be the next big Forge map. Prepare to possibly say goodbye to Foundry. Achievements: Hammer Time- On Assembly, get 5 Hammer kills during any ranked or social match. Pull- On Citadel, get a Shotgun Spree during any ranked or social match. Blades of Fury- On Heretic, get a Sword Spree during any ranked or social match. Ghost Patrol- On Longshore, get 3 kills with a Ghost during any ranked or social match. Post Mortem- On Orbital, get 2 Death From the Grave medals during any ranked or social match. Sandbox Skull- On Sandbox, find the hidden skull.
I'm not quite sure they are going to come out on the 25th, but I can't wait regardless. Assembly alone looks good enough for a single map pack.
This will be announced on the 25th I'm sure. Actually, I have no doubt in my mind that the 7-map map pack (Mythic) will be announced on the 25th. And yes, you can quote me on that. I 'd say Mythic won't be released until probably somewhere around the end of October or early November though.
Ok, so SEVEN maps (6 of which we have never seen before) will be released in two days? You are out of your mind, kid. EDIT: Little something I want to point out in today's TU2 Update on Bungie.net.... In other words, they are referring to the achievements that are completed in all SEVEN Mythic Maps. Discuss that quote, its important.
Why release maps at all different times? THey are ready to be download, and people want them for achievements. The maps go with the achievements.
i doubt all of them will come out the 25th, maybe 3 or 4 of them. ive accually heard a rumor that a map pack of three that u will have to buy and then another map that will be free. now this may or may not be true but it seems like a good theory.
Mythic is not just 7 maps, it is a new and huge update to Halo 3 itself! It is the 1.2 version of Halo. One of the achievments says something about the 25th so I would not be surprised if they did come out on Thursday. The only thing that really would shake me of that thought is that Bungie has not advertised the maps or this "Mythic" at all. If they do release all the maps,which I think they will, I am curious about the price. Some say its around 1000 points. That would be amazing because that is VERY cheap for 7 maps. If you are wondering why I refer to Mythic with the quotations and say it is a huge update to Halo entirely, take a look at these: Could these just be special menus from PAX? If you look carefully at the first picture you see a 1.2. This whole Mythic thing has got me confused out of my mind. I cannot wait until Bungie unveils the whole picture.

I know right? And conspiracy theories lol? I am in amazement at all this craziness. I wouldn't post anything I don't know. Right now, I feel like a little kid in a candy shop. There is SOOO many things that are overwhelming me. The new achievments, the new maps, new menus, and this all might be released Thursday? This is crazy! I am so excited but very confused at the same time. I wish someone could provide some insight on this topic. If it does come out on Thursday, is that the whole update of Mythic as well? Was the TU2 set-up for what could be the huge update on Thursday? So many questions but not enough answers.... I am afraid this time Google can't even help us out.

Haha okay I will trust you... I am just very anxious to find out what is... Will it be maps or new menus? In your opinion of course considering that noone knows except for Bungie employees. EDIT: I just found this in the Rare Thursday weekly update!!!! I believe its a clue to something... EDIT 2: Just as I read that I read this: Man!!! Maybe there isn't going to be anything out on Thursday!
