    Barron Creek v2

In a failed attempt to recreate one of my old time favorites of Battle Creek (or Beaver Creek as renamed in Halo 2), I constructed a similar map. Barron Creek features two bases on each side of the map, each a mirror image of the other. Behind each base is a teleporter to the back of the other base.

The most obvious that this is an attempted recreation has to be the archway in the center of the map. If you manage to reach the top, rockets await your usage but be warned ammo is limited.

Also along the wall opposite of rockets is the sniper spawn.

Unfortunately I have only constructed this map for CTF and slayer but within a few days I will find the time to make it available for assault, territories, king of the hill, and maybe even infection.

Looks good, I liked Beaver Creek it looks kinda like it, there's some things that you could've made neater like the rocket launcher archway and the bases.

Well let me start this off by saying nice post for a new user, now onto the map. It looks rather good, it is well interlocked planed out and I like the map overall. I must say it is a good map, you have some forging potential. I advise you to keep forging you could make some really great maps one days who knows.

Ive played Battle Creek, and this looks pretty good! I would never have the time to do the curved archway... 4/5

Wow, it looks messy for the most part... It is way to empty if you look at it from atop of the curved structure... Could use with either kiwer structures or higher ones.

4/5, looks like a fine map itself, but I have to agree with radiant on it being a little messy. And I could easily escape it.

The interlocking and geomerging is a bit sloppy but I like the way you constructed those bases =D You should make the creek in the center out of shield doors, that would be cool. Also, if those geomerged boxes are meant to be rocks you should geomerge them further into the ground.

n1n3CAL, the thread has not been closed, what are you talking about?

well i still don't know how to close an already posted thread. I have deleted the map from my fileshare because of space issue. Since this map will soon be obsolete to the v3 which is in development, I though no one would mind if I got rid of it. So in order to make sure people don't try to download this when it's not there I left that comment so that no one would get confused and/or angry.

If your making a v3, try taking out the center structure, I think that in this version you focused your map around it. As well, if your going to keep it, be aware that whatever you put in the center has to look straight because everyone's attention is drawn to it. If it isn't, your map just won't look properly built and you will probably receiving comments like posted already, that the map looks a bit sloppy.

yes as a matter of fact there is now arch in my v3 at all. Though the map is inspired by beaver creek, it will probably only hold one or two characteristics of it. I posted about it in my blog. and thank you for your advice I really do appreciate it.
