So I just really read about the "timing placed objects" last night. I never really figured that you would use that for anything except interlocking objects and whatnot. So I got to thinking.... WHAT if someone timed some fusion coils as such (I know exploding fusion coils are SO cliche nowadays), but still. Say someone made a big ol' hill in foundry, placed a base at the top, and fenced off the base with a few entry points. Now picture this.... 30 or 40 seconds into the game BOOM an airstrike of holy fusion coils comes flying into the hill bring doom and destruction to everyone left attempting to attack the base....

Could use it as some sort of territories gameplay, maybe even make inside of the hill completely playable by making a drop down from the top of the base into the hill like on isolation... idk it's something i'm thinking about doing... anyone else have any thoughts on this? call it airstrike or something....

Well what you could do... Make a dumpster float then put two pallets on top and put a bunch of fusion coils on the pallets. Now put shield doors around it so you can only shoot inside from a certain area. Now when you are ready, shoot the dumpster. Since dumpsters and pallets will not float without help of on object, the dumpster will fall and the fusion coils will fall. Make sure you set the fusion coils to never respawn so you can only get one airstike for each round. Just an idea...

one time my friend and I placed a double box, set it to spawn in like a minute, and started a new round. Once the new round started, we put all of the fusion coils over the dblbox spawn point, and we made a fuse that would stick out of the box (we also set the fusies to instant respawn). When the box spawned, I shot the fuse, and it looked like a box that was violently on fire. it was hilarious, but the exploding stopped after a while, but we just started it up again and watched our fireworks go boom boom... good times...good times

Yeah thats why I would do something to where they only spawned once and could time release them... Thats if I was even going to try this map, it was just an idea floating around in my head, i'll have to try to put it together and see what happens.

Titmatr, instead of being negative and saying that his map will probably fail, post something positive or don't post at all.

JJ, The one thing you have to make sure is that the attackers can not make the fusion coils fall. Maybe you can arrange it so the fusion coils bounce of shield doors from the sides of the map.

Well see I think the attackers SHOULD be able to make them fall but like he said only once a round, kind of like they can call in their own airstrike. This gives them the option of "choosing when to drop the bombs" that way they could blow everything up quickly at the beginning for a head start, or hold it until the end. I just have to find a good looking, stable way to do so.

In that case, you should make a high passageway, with ways to get up to it. One from the base and one from the attackers side.
