I am curently working on a map by myself that is based on/from halo 4, its a highly secret project, but i will provide pictures soon, but without descriptions, just to give hints and ideas on what it will be. it will be like a addon to halo 3s story and multiplayer levels. I hope to release the map by the 25th. I will put it here in the asthetic/competative fourms with full description, name, picture and, gametype. the map will be fully enclosed giving you the feeling of being somewhere totaly diffrent from the map that it was actualy built on, and it will take place on <<(secret)>>, the location at this time is a secret until release of the map on 9/25/08. I am using many sources and encyclopedias to enhance realisim and story of the halo 4 map, and to make it as acurate as posible to halo 4 and its posiable story and its environments. I hope you anticipate the relase of them and im sure you will enjoy playing them as much as i enjoyed making them. Look, you're taking the Legendary Ending and extrapolating on it so much that you can somehow convince yourself that you can already make the maps of Halo 4 in Halo 3.
Hang on, I think you must be very confused. Firstly, Bungie or any other developer has anounced anything about a Halo 4 (although there is something being made). Secondly, how could you be making Halo 4 maps if it hasn't been announced yet? Did someone tell you? Sorry for sounding harsh, but yeah. Interesting.
Wow you people are dense. He is making a collection of maps (or maybe just one map) that takes the Legendary Ending as it's back story and he is building on it using his own imagination for what Halo 4 would be like if it were to be made. I would have thought at least you would have figured that out Nemi.

So you would flame the author of the Novels asking how he could make fully fleshed out novels from a relatively simple storyline? Adding Characters and non existent back stories? Here is an incredibly simple explanation for you if you still don't understand. HE IS BUILDING MAPS USING HIS IMAGINATION!
Before the critisism starts, we dont know how good of a forger he is, so lets just wait untill he releases the map and then we can see how good he is.

Hmph. I wasn't saying that he wasn't going to use his imagination to build the maps. However, I was questioning his ability and knowledge based on the fact that Halo 4 hasn't even been announced, much less the maps for it. So how would he be able to go to sources and encyclopedias (wait what?) to enhance realism and make them as accuarate as possible to Halo 4 & its possible storyline? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he could be a good Forger. But I really just dislike it when people start advertising for maps that don't even exist yet. It's like hyping us up for something that might not even happen.
The stupidity of some people. I'm going to say this once, and only once. I can't really prove what I'm about to say, but it should be enough for you people to believe that there might be a Halo 4, or whatever it's going to be called. One, before Franky left, he admitted that there will be a sequel to the Halo series. The game will follow the same story line, and it may be a game were you still play as Master Chief. There is also a possibility that you won't. While the series are a trilogy, you can still continue the same story line. Take Star Wars for example.

I doubt his sources too but doesn't mean he can't use it as a back story for a map. So what if he wants to create a hype for his map. Just means he has to work all the harder to not let us down on our expectations.
the authors didnt just make up the stuff in the novels. bungie has a whole bunch of **** that is "official halo information" that they didnt put in the games, and the authors got to see all of it. and the next halo game will probably be leading up to, if not it will be, marathon. bungie is smart. they make marathon, then say "hey, lets make a whole series that takes place before marathon, then we can make it again! Then we will have vast quantities of money to spend on hookers and taffy!"
Guys, I think what he means is that hes trying to make maps that could influence the course of a Halo 4 or some sort of map pack. I for one like the idea of a Halo 4 althoough i am very sure it will never happen. not soon anyway.
