My current task is to create signs for imaginary shop fronts. The focus is font type and how font and colour reflect the style of the shop and the product it sells.

My initial idea was to use a red brackground with a white font, but it looked too generic, so i
tried using white backgrounds, and i came out with this. I tried changing it all to a red / white theme but i don't think it looks as good.

It looks good, but I don't think the period fits...I don't know...but it just attracts my eye and it shouldn't, the whole thing should.

They both look good. I agree with Dizfunky about the period. Also I think that you should get rid of the texture on the text. The reflection is a nice touch though.

I love reflected text, so I like all of this. It's also a good texture for the text, and the font is very good also.

I made a few changes, to make it look a bit more 3 dimentional.

    Not feeling the top.

But if you feather around the box a little bit, it would look better without the border.
