I post maps because i want people to enjoy them, not to ust see my doanload count high. Thats beasically what people do, post a map and see how many downloads they can get. Me personally, i don't care about downloads...Except for sceenshots and stuff... P.S: Im not saying to banned them, just saying that we should really ry to get them to read the rules and ask questions before doing anything. What if you were in someone's house and you needed to use the restroom, would you just go searching the house or would you ask first? I was never like that, when i joined FH, i tried to read any rules i can find and i asked questions in the introduction forum before i posted anything. I mean i don't blame them for coming to FH, Bungie's map forum is really screwed up now that thread bumping is disabled...
Wow, Shihuru, you need to settle down. All you say is that you're annoyed by new members (targeting BAMFthesenior, which is wrong). Well, shihuru, a member's experience is not based on their # of posts. it's on their helpfulness. Just because you randomly spam threads because a certain member is new and doesn't know the rules doesn't make you any better. In fact, it makes you sound like a 2 year old. Grow up. Sure, people post maps without reading the rules, but who's to know there ARE rules for map posting? Just leave them alone. If I were you, I'd have made this thread recommending fixes instead of just complaining about new members.
We could make it so map topics require moderator approval before they display for all the members. This would ensure posted topics comply with standards. If there were a few people willing to do this for the FH community, I couldn't see it being a problem. But it would have to be discussed in greater detail first.
Couldn't there be just a type of "fill in the blanks" post, where you post certain information in certain spaces? Similar to signing up for ForgeHub membership, and the map couldn't be posted until it was completed properly? I think it would save some trouble in the maps section.
That actually sounds like a great idea. The only problem I see though is finding out if they actually posted the information in the right boxes, or just posted something else.
Are you serious? Any major forging group you go to, there are ALWAYS map posting rules. Especially for a big forge group like FH, come on. Stop trying to be the mature one and understand what i am trying to say...
That's a great idea, lol. Stop trying to be the mature one, eh? I'm quoting that for my sig. Great idea! I'll just be the immature one. That makes sense. I see what you have to say, but I think you worded your ideas incorrectly. What you want to say is, "I think there should be some kind of system so that new members know the rules before they post", instead of,"One member 'accidentally' posted his map twice... look at all the bad posts by BAMFthesenior in one day". The idea you have is good, just be careful from now on how you word your posts.
