Created by Lawful Chilli Download Silorn map variant here. Download marauders game variant here. Story: A group of marauders seeking fame and fortune traverse the land seeking an ancient ruin called Silorn. As legend has it, this ruin holds treasures beyond any man's imagination. They find it. No sooner than they all step inside does the door from where they came seal from the outside, trapping them inside. The only way out now is to go forward. After a few minutes in the ruin, they begin to hear strange noises. Some members of the group panic and stray from the rest. their screams stop suddenly. Now the whole band of marauders know the place is infected with zombies. The zombies keep attacking, and each time they kill they seem to multiply. The marauders realize that the only way to find a way out and survive is to kill the zombies, or hide until zombies decide to give up. But this is no small task. Will they survive? Silorn is an infection map made for up to twelve people. It is best played with the marauders game variant. Every player has 3 lives, so once you become a zombie, you have 2. 25% of the players start out as zombies. The alpha zombie's damage resistance is up completely, making them immune to everything but assassinations. All zombies have 75% speed and 150% gravity. Their weapon is an energy sword. All zombies that start out human have normal damage resistance. Humans are equipped with a shotgun and a magnum. They have 90% speed and 150% gravity. The last man standing gets active camo and a damage resistance of 200%. Through testing, i found the best way survive if you are not the last man is to just run from the zombies since you are faster. Camping or hiding in one spot did not seem to work as well. If you are the last man, however, hiding is usually best when you have camo. The map will be explained through the captions of the screenshots. Zombies spawn in this box. After 10 seconds... they are freed! This is the human spawn, the zombies are taken here when they are freed (you can just see the receiver nodes at the top). When you go through one of the 4 teleporters... You are taken to the corresponding room (the receiver is above the ground so you cannot camp on top of it) When you go through the door, you are taken back to the middle room where you spawned. There are four overlapping teleporters above the middle of the main room, so you be randomly facing one of the four sender nodes. Overviews of rooms:They all have a roof, its just deleted for the shot Yellow room blue room red room ManCan room Again, all overhead shots have the roof deleted, you cant get out. Action Situations! This seems like a good spot... Or not, or not. Not a very good idea... Thanks to all who helped tests: Jason, Parker, Margie, Brett, Mike Pittsburgh (inside joke), Rhyan, and Gram.
Really nice idea. I play infection a little bit but when i play it i would love to try it on this map 4/5.
oh id really liked to play it with you some time only problem i see is couldnt you just gernade or double jump out?
No, the overhead shots are with the roof deleted, just for the view. there is a roof on every level, you cant get out. i guess i should have made that more clear.
Ha Ha! Ya, dude she/ he (the Selena Gomez thing confuses me) put it in the picture caption. "THERE IS A ROOF I JUST DELETED IT FOR THE PICS". Anyway... I like it. Very original, nicely made and well thought out. I've got no idea how it plays but I've never seen this done before. thumbs up! P.S. Correct me on the He/She thing. but don't get angry.... please...
did you even read his post? It says in giant red letters that the roof has been removed for the pics. The map looks great though, nice to see something original. I like the tele-doors. Very clean interlocking and interesting layout. 5/5 great job!!!!
i am a he who is obsessed with selena gomez, i get asked that all the time. and im glad you saw the bold red letters, i thought they might be invisible, so i added more on the bottom to be sure.
Excellent map! I love the rooms idea thing and it looks like you interlocked if not everything interlockable then 99.99% of it! However can the zombies get into the starting room because the humans can just stay there. Oh, well amazing map but i'm not a big fan of infection, nor am i of infection games when humans have shotguns, so no DL from me but i'll rate 5/5 on Bungie, Forgehub, and give for + rep for a great map! Keep Forging!
You have to comment in more than one sentence or you'll get in trouble. Just edit the post and add more words.
yes when the zombies come out of their spawn they go to the main room receiver nodes. and the shotty doesnt really do much, since alpha zombies are invulnerable and thay are the ones who really get the kills. and thanks for the compliments
it looks like kind of fun, but i think you should make it a little bit more challenging for the humans
um, was one of those a typo? because first you said i should make it more challenging for the humans, then you say i should not make the aplhas invulnerable, making it much easier for the humans to kill them. Kinda contradicted yourself there, didnt ya?
ya sorry i just think that the non alphas should be stronger, but alpha not invulnerable maybe give the alpha zombie a different weapon, or radar for the alpha, but no radar for the infected. what i'm trying to say is make it fair for the zombies, but fun for the humans because it sucks when your stuck as a zombie and the only one who can kill is the alpha zombie. Reminds me of fat kid, and i absolutely hate fat kid
if anyone wants to know, i am trying to adapt this into a competetive FFA map. im trying to work out some camping issues...
The map looks awesome however i dont generally like the idea of invunerable alpha-zombies, but im sure it must work out somehow . will dl and hope i can get a group to play it. oh and by any chance is the map slighty inspired by The elder scrolls: oblivion, im sure ive seen the map name in that game before and the storyline sounds abit like it too.
yeah, the zombies can still be assasinated. its not as hard as it seems, but still a challenge. and yes, the name is from an ayleid ruin in oblivion, one which is the location of a mages guild quest (you have to assassinate some guy and i think get the colossal black soul gem). and the story is roughly inspired by oblivion.
this map sucks, why isn't there a roof on any of them? just kidding, lol nice map though... i like the seperate rooms with all of the different ideas in them and cool hiding places and lotsa room to have fun
